Thank you Mrs F, and everyone else who has wished me a happy birthday!
I have a small bit of CYC left over from my last one, so that'll do me for today.
I was going to make myself my own birthday cake, but then I thought, nah...that's a bit sad really, isn't it - staying at home on your birthday and baking your own cake?
But it did give me a great idea for a thread....;)If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Afternoon all
Still full of grotty cold here - blugh - although DD's have gone back to school today so it's at least quiet.
Had a bit of a tidy round and did an hours ironing for a friend - didn't even look at mine - getting paid to do hers is an incentive.
Been having a mooch around a few sites trying to find some inspiration for a 40th birthday pressie for said friend, she doesn't do make-up - can't use smellies etc as sensative skin so can't do a "pamper hamper". She doesn't have any hobbies so I'm a bit stuck.........ideas greatfully received.
Bit peeved with my sis at the mo - she's gone and organised an anniversary pressie for my parents from her family. We normally do something joint but she's made it very clear that she's earning far more than we are and can afford something extravagant. Don't get me wrong, it's up to her what she buys/spends but I'd have liked some warning first......grrrrrrrrrr families eh!
Going to go crash out infront of the tv with some crocheting for the rest of the afternoon in the hope that I might feel a bit better.
Hugs to all those in need today - and to those who couldn't sleep last night - I know the feeling.
Hope you all have a great afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon all!
Well iv spent the whole morning cleaning the oven (i will NEVER leave it so long between cleans agin!!!) And scrubbing the bathroom to within a inch of its life!!
2 of my most hated jobs over and done with.
Have ds2 at home as he got sent home yesterday afternoon just after dinner as he had been slightly sick, school wont let him back in school until 48 hours have passed!!! Even though he was and still is fine, i think he just rushed his dinner yesterday and ran around to much at playtime, so i called into school to tell them i wasnt happy about him missing school when he wants to be there as much as i want him to be, and they have said he can go back tommorow!! They gave him some work to do today which took him all of 30 mins to complete..why do schools have to stick to `guildlines` you would think sometimes a bit of common sense would happen???
Anyway moan over, im off to hoover the upstairs and start listing on ebay
Have fun all
Donna

problem no 2 I'm fed up with sandwiches:p
problem no 3 It has to be either fat free or very low fat:rolleyes2
