    Morning Everyone

A better night for me, didn't waken until after 6 which when 5.45am used to be my regular get up time for more years than I want to think, is fine. (((HUGS))) to anyone with sleep problems. It's not dropping off with me its if I wake up at 3 and then don't feel tired and can't get back off.
Black coffee this moring as we've run out of milk:eek: . Taking the 'van in for a service and will call at Aldi on the way home and pick up a tray of their long life skimmed cartons - we find this tastes no different to "real" milk, plus must check the fridge for what we need if anything. Doing a use up of what I got in "just in case" for the visitors, surplus of milk and eggs for sure. At least my trips recently have meant I have gone through the fridge and used up, and need to do the same this weekend. Would have like to have got the garage freezer emptied, but too much for the fridge/freezer to take in, never mind I'll keep working on it for the New Year Trip (but then will be the remnants of Xmas in it):rotfl: :rotfl:

I know what you mean Mrs_F our DH was at uni for his 21st too, though he did make it home the following weekend so we could feed him and his GF:rolleyes: . Birthday wishes to him and anyone else celebrating.

Scuzz - just book some holiday days off, if they are not ideal you can change them as you get nearer to them. Try adding some days to you days off so you get a longer break. Try not to think about work stressing you, think about closing the door as you leave for the day and leaving it behind the door.

(((HUGS))) to anyone under the weather, or who'd just like one.

    Take care

  • Good morning everyone.

I haven't been on for a few days as I had some old friends staying for a couple of days. It was good fun but I'm still glad to see them go. I spent yesterday washing the beds etc so I think I have caught up.
Today i want to get some ironing done and pop into the village for a few bits and bobs. I may meet up with OH for lunch if he can get away from work but I'm not holding my breath.
Tea tonight will be toad in the hole. i'll get it all ready to go in a minute and then it's out of the way.
    See you all soon.

  • Morning all,

It's windy here and sunny in patches so I'll hopefully get the washing dry. Then I have to start moving all the stuff back into ds2's room - good opportunity for a clear out whilst he's not there:D

I have to go to the bank as well - and our branch is over the other side of town! Dh has a cheque in US dollars to pay in and I want to query some yen I paid in last week which haven't surfaced in the account yet.

Have to also phone ds2's teacher to ask what the difference is between red group1 and red group 2 - ds2 has always been in the top group for English and maths - but suddenly he's in red group 2, so we need to find out why. I'm hoping it's just that there are too many children in the top group.... but we'll see. Ability isn't the issue, but he does the minimum needed to keep him at the top - maybe he's got it wrong this time:rolleyes:

Beavers tonight - we're playing "Biscuit beetle" tonight so I have to go to Mr T's for supplies for later.

Lunch - jacket potato with beans
Dinner - will stare in freezer and hope for inspiration.

Ds1 came home yesterday with banana mashed over the front pocket of his rucksack - so that was another emergency wash:rolleyes:

Hugs to all who need them - Csarina - hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. Meanmarie - fingers crossed for your ddil.

Have a good day everyone - if I don't post again, know that I disappeared for ever into the mountain of stuff at the top of the house:rotfl:

Morning all. Still trying to sort out the bank. I'm just not impressed with the situation. Man today wasn't as nice as woman yesterday which is a shame, but hopefully he'll at least get something done. In the meantime he's told me my chequebook should still work so I'll send a bunch of cheques to the CC companies.

Frustrated with being on bedrest - want to get out and sort out all this cr*p.
