    Morning (just!) everyone,

Started my day off with a stand-off with a caterpillar who was in other half's lettuce when I was preparing his sandwich for lunch. Good job I was awake or it would have gone off to work with him! Not very DFW but I left him to chow down on a few leaves and will put him out in a safe place later, poor blighter.

Car has gone in for a minor repair  and wasn't having much luck with a new PAYG sim in my mobile so I ran a few miles to the shop and back instead of taking the bus. So feeling energised and ready for the day ahead. Takes care of exercise for the day, too.

    Today I have/will:
    *[STRIKE]sort PAYG sim[/STRIKE] DONE
    *[STRIKE]list a couple of items for sale[/STRIKE]
    *work work work! :T
    *[STRIKE]query a refund that hasn't appeared yet[/STRIKE]DONE - they'd forgotten about it. A few years back I wouldn't even have noticed...Yay for DFW :T
*[STRIKE]Appointment at clinic[/STRIKE]DONE - results in a couple of weeks.

    Have a great day,
    US

    Hi there
DNMS - I hope things get better today. BTW, I tried the ‘cream of tomato’ soup last night!! Mind-blowing! :T OH asked what I used for the cream. :)
Happy holidays and trips abroad to all you lucky lot!

    Here’s me:
    • Cheapo porridge brekkie :A
    • HM soup for lunch :T
    • Dinner from stores – jacket potato and tuna for me; leftover take away for OH :naughty:
    • Need to get dog food – apparently I can sign up for a survey at pets at home and get a discount on it so I’ll look into this on lunch
    • Sort YNAB – need to do a bit of rejigging since around £260 came out that we hadn’t saved for – need to put £22 a month away for this for next year then…
    • Need to look into OH’s bday pressie  - Yay, found 12% discount code :T
    • Night in tidying the cluttler! :naughty:

    Afternoon all :)
In a bit of a CBA mood today :o
    So far:
Used up a blackening banana with my porridge this morning
Walked 2 dogs, separately, as I can't manage them both together (DS's dog pulls like a horse, is better with his halti on, but still needs all my strength and attention to control him - not as strong as I was :()
Wrapped an ebay sale. Annoyingly, I discovered a slight flaw in the item as I was about to wrap it :( Messaged the buyer and offered him a full refund or if he still wanted it, a 50% discount, as it was described as perfect. He does want it, so at least it has sold! And it is still a pretty item, hope they like it :)
    Processed the necessary part refund
Sold another item overnight, but still awaiting payment for that one Still waiting...
Finished up a sliver of camembert with my lunch

    Still to do:
Trip to post office with 2 parcels plus a RM survey item Done
Make fish pie for dinner Done (yum)
Walk both mutts again no doubt - OH is playing golf and will be too worn out and DS will be late back from work :( Still, it is free exercise I suppose OH walked the big one :T
Make a loaf in the BM In now :)
    Bit of paperwork for business
    A few onepoll surveys
About to tackle a mountain of washing up :(

And that is it - no point being too ambitious when I am in this state of mind
  • just listened to this and thought you might find it interesting. I do find I fritter a lot of my time and want to think more about prioritising what I do

Two weeks ago cooker went to the great scrapyard in the sky.

Half way through making lunch halogen UFO bulb blew.

Now finishing off burgers on the camping stove but the gas is getting low.

At this rate we'll be cooking on the bonfire by dinner time.

Ain't nothin' goin' on but the rent here (to quote Gwen Guthrie.)

Breakfast was from my store drawer but I couldn't stomach soup for lunch after the disaster that was my mushroom soup carbonara and I went to pr@t for a tuna baguette (but did only buy the dinky one.)

Only one item sold on eBay and I missed an extra 15% deal on WBB yesterday after going to bed with a migraine.

I looked online and branch of the GC that I *thought* I had applied to also has jobs (and slightly longer hours) so I will apply there tonight. The other was at least good interview experience.

I've no idea what dinner will be tonight, maybe chicken burgers if DH gets home early enough to defrost the rolls.

Have a good day all :)

Doesn't help that I fell asleep at the start of my favourite radio show, woke up l1/2 hours later, wide awake till 3am, trying not to look at the time.

DawnW I know exactly what you mean about a CBA mood. Have totally switched off today.
Angelpyegood for you that you have not let your low mood beat you.

FVD sorry that the job interview all went wrong, but good that you want to get out there and try something new in life, takes many a brave person.

DNMSsorry to hear that things got difficult with your daughter, I hope everything has settled down, but it is emotionally draining.

Allydowdi hope those burgers got cooked before the gas run out?!

Uphill struggler I was going to ask what happened to the caterpillar:D

Hope everyone is having a good day x
