Big hugs to everyone who is poorly and looking after poorly littlies

Quick post in as will not be able to post from tomorrow when we jet off. I would love to say that today was mse but I was absolutely blitzed from work and ordered pizza :o

For some reason, I finish all my work ready for my hols then the day before, everything goes beserk. I've had 5 meetings today and been fending emails left, right and centre. You wouldn't believe that I'm a scientist!
Trying to work up to oomph to pack now. Am just shattered and want to go to bed! Even my eyes are tired.

So I promise to you all that I will be as mse as possible on holiday :)

    Take care everyone

Used blanket to keep me warm whilst working
Radiator shuffle from overnight washing whilst they were on
Veg goulash from yesterday or lunch, DH had left overs
May make some soup later if I get chance
check banking (have £69 dividend payment tomorrow that I wasn't expecting ;))
    check surveys, fpl and £co
check fridge for things to be frozen or left overs to use
meal plan I didn't do yesterday

Thanks for the seeds tips everyone, foxgloves hope everything is ok - thinking of you

    PF

Still need to meal plan and made a sugar free date loaf instead of soup - oops :rotfl: taste yummy though:o
I also switched DH banking for £125 bonus (asked him first of course);)
signed up for an annual ticket for something - was a big decision but we've been talking about it for over a year and have already planned using it.
Glad you were offered a suprise alternative Foxglove

clf have a fantastic holiday, very jel!

PF nice one on a £125 joining fee :T

yesterday was a difficult day. dd became triggered in the car journey to her flat which resulted in her shouting at me for probably 1/2 the journey, things got heated, mud got slung and it was exhausting when I wasn't feeling so great anyway :( so when I got back I listened to a podcast while I tidied the kitchen then I went to sleep. Nearly got a take out but plumped for a 18p pack of noodles instead :money: Madam eats at the cm's on days she's there which is a blessing!

Today I do not want to sit around feeling yuk! going to have a lemsip and perk up! Plans for the day:

    * madam has ballet this afternoon
    * make oh's birthday card with madam
    * look through the fridge and use anything that needs using
    * must think of something for oh's lunch - the problem with being the only chef in the house and trying to keep costs low is when I'm ill it all falls to pot!
    * must do the roast pork today so will pick up potatoes
    * think I'm going to complain about the earrings I got from fleabay not being as advertised! Very disappointing to receive them yesterday - they are minuscule and not even blue! :( it's worth paying the postage to return them as they were £33
    * return/renew library books
    * load of washing & finish vacuuming
    * List some things on fleabay
    * more master's research/prep for application

Ok that's my lot! Have a great day guys :A

DNMS If you are returning something because it is not as described you don't have the pay the postage, the seller does.

Just make sure you say you are returning it as it's not as described (and not that you've changed your mind) and you will be emailed a pre paid label.

Re your daughter, I have some similar (it sounds) though undiagnosed problems with my DS and know how draining it can be and really not what we thought we were signing up for when we decided to become mothers. As my GP said to me when I consulted her, look after yourself first because if you go down you take everyone else with you. Dodgy hugs :group hug:

Swooning at the idea of India! That has been high up on the bucket list for a long time...think its LuckyPenny? Even though its a work trip it must still be exciting, all the food and different things to look at and noises...makes me want to jump onto Lonely Planet and read all about it, again:)

Yesterday my mood crashed, annoys me that it can sometimes be just a few little things and I am on my knees. I got through it though and still managed to cook from meal plan where as before I would have bought something easy or not eaten at all.

Got up with a 'I'm not having it' attitude and have an action plan and have already started it...I find achieving things when I am low helps move me on. I still feel low but not defeated and although all I want is to curl under my duvet and sleep all day I am forcing myself to do what needs doing. On days like this I have to keep telling myself that I am a strong independent woman and need to behave like one! Yesterday as I was anxious and tearful I allowed myself to just be.

    List:
    *Make my bed (Done)
*Washing mountain dance (already in machine and dry stuff put away)
*Update driving licence (Thanks for reminder Martin, and after 2 failed attempts of doing it via post office it is done online! As long as it comes through. Only 4 years late shhhh!)
*Get refund for Post office payment of driving licence (done so cheque should be on its way soon meaning I am £7 up from doing it online!)
*Order vouchers for gift (well over due but done!)
    *General tidying as I go
    *Get some creating done
*All food from home with l/o spanish omelette for lunch and h/m veggie chilli for dinner :)

    If time:
*Balance my spending diary with bank and SOA due to superm run yesterday
*Pay CC - want to do this after above so can work out if I can pay even a little bit extra but not due for a few days yet so have time (no direct debit as they messed up twice leaving me stranded so I pay manually which is annoying and if I am low I can be late)

Just reading what you guys are up to and writing a list (with some things that have been hanging around for ages completed) has really lifted me. :D

    Have a great day!

    Hi February Folks,

Wee day off: :D And guess which Muppet was mooching around last week's thread wondering why it was quiet in there? :( This was yesterday's effort.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    * Took DW out for a Tapas in a new local bar. Lovely. How is this money saving? Cheaper than flying to Spain with DW for the weekend as per her recent request! :rotfl:Brought home two pieces of uneaten bread. ;)

    * Friend sent us some seeds through the post; much free entertainment for DW.

    * Bought a charity shop DVD for this afternoon and two cut-price pots of Pringles.
