  • Congratulations. Personally I feel that when you are settled in you should give yourself a treat. Maybe little holiday. It will do no harm to park the MSE approach for a short while!

So happy for  you.  Wishing you all the very best for your new beginning (((hugs))) XXX
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • Congratulations. Wishing you happiness in your new home x

Thanks for the good wishes MF @Chrystal and @doingitanyway

I met the new neighbours on one side and had a lovely chat. Haven’t managed to catch the other side yet to say hello.

Spent £92.95 at b n q 😳 all necessary spends. I am keeping a record so I don’t get carried away and overspend.

Popped to see my friend I went to school with for a cuppa and cake 😋

Lined up a gas engineer to take out the old gas fires and back boiler and move the pipe work to install a combi boiler with a 10
year guarantee. £3670. I picked the most expensive option 🙄 but the boiler will be tucked away in the airing cupboard rather than in one of the bedrooms.

Filled the car up with petrol £33 ready for the drive back to the old place. Back at work on Monday for the final slog.

  • Excellent idea to put in a good quality boiler. So much better not to have a boiler in one of the bedrooms.
  • I have switched mobile providers to g gaff and taken a no contract sim-only £10 goody bag with unlimited calls & texts and 20gb data. I have downloaded their app which shows me how much data I have left. At the moment I am attached to DF’s wifi and I will still be attached to wifi at DS’s. Once I have moved into my new house I will have a better idea whether 20gb is enough going forward.

Next week I finish work 🤗 and I need to sort virgin media, council tax & water bills and hire a van for DS to move my stuff or get a man & van to move me depending on the cost for over 200 miles.

Once I have moved I will change car tax, insurance, tv license, car driving licence. I have already registered online for council tax at the new property. I can change my bank address on their app. I can change my gov . Uk address online. I’m sure there are lots of other things I haven’t thought of.
