Hurrah to extra money from council tax, i had mine today, so nice i could get used to this! It's great with DS mortgage survey going through and that you have a credit on your utilities. I hope you have a good bank holiday weekend and can forget about work for a bit.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Got lost on way to friends house yesterday then petrol light came on! Managed not to panic and phoned my friend who gave me directions and I wasn’t too far away. Had a lovely afternoon, her house is lovely, petrol station nearby so put £10 in on the way back.

Puppy dog has her cone of shame off now and is much happier and settled after vet gave her an anti sickness injection and some medication. Another £74 paid and they will add it to the insurance claim.

It’s lovely and sunny today. Much warmer than the last few days. I’m going clothes shopping. Meeting up with another friend over the weekend then another friend having afternoon tea at her house on Monday so I need to get some cakes and a bottle of plonk.

  • Forecast is for frost this morning but sunny. Have fed the dog and will walk her later. Just short walks at the moment until she is back to full health. Then I have to phone pest control as gf heard noises above in loft last night 😕 Hardly slept last night feel shattered. More £££ will use the emergency fund.

Can DS not put some traps in the loft, save a bit of money.
Try and rest over the weekend, you're still doing too much.

  • DS is away for the weekend & his gf is working. Price was too high anyway, they wanted £300. No noise tonight. Have ordered bait boxes & bait for loft just under £20. Will collect tomorrow from tool station.

Trimmed long grass edging with shears and will finish off and cut the grass tomorrow. Otherwise just 2 dog walks done, dishwasher emptied and reloaded, one load of washing done & line dried. It was a sunny warm day.

Letter arrived from my solicitor with forms to complete. DS &
gf got letters confirming AIP subject to survey (Friday).

Had Chinese delivered for dinner as a payday treat £13.80 from entertainment fund.

That's a lot for setting traps etc.
Take your time with the forms, don't guess at the answers if you don't know just say that; assuming it is the property info forms you've received.

Please don't panic over the bills, you've the CT refund to help; mine came in less than I thought they would and I've been on the variable rate since buying the flat.

    Great choice having the Chinese.
