Am feeling a bit down this morning 😕 Have fed the dog but can’t get back to sleep. I’m going to get up soon & take her for a walk. Just need to get out of the house.DS is being a pita. He’s had a reply from the pet insurance (policy in his name / he pays it) but won’t tell me what they have said as he’s too busy. It only takes a minute to read an email ! 😠 I’m going to ring them later as I am authorised on the account. This is the last time I will pay the vet fees up front. I thought I was doing him a favour so he didn’t have a big credit card bill as they are saving to buy a house. It seems the courtesy doesn’t extend both ways and he doesn’t seem at all concerned that I have a big credit card bill ! 😡
He also asked me to get some items from Aldi on Tuesday and despite me messaging him the amount he still hasn’t paid me the money for that either. So I will not be getting him anything when I go shopping next week.I think you outgrow your kids & it’s time he left home. Trouble is these days & in the current pandemic it’s much harder. He has a really responsible stressful job, but you wouldn’t believe he is an adult when he reverts to childish behaviour at home.Anyway rant over.Plans for weekend/ bank hol -
- walk the dog. Will strap my blisters & if it’s dry I will wear my walking sandals.
- tidy utility room, now the microwave & other stuff has gone to the tip there are 3 more 15kg bags of dog food to move in there from the hallway.- it’s very dark & windy this morning. If it brightens up later I will do some washing. Have a few clothes to do, plus our towels, plus dog towels (Separate wash) so I’m hoping for good weather and not the usual bank holiday rain !- hoover car to get rid of little bits of the wooden pallet that has gone to the tip

DS could always forward the email to you, which takes a nanosecond. Part of the problem with adult kids at home is they do behave like kids and not the adults when they step outside the family home boundary.
Well done on your savings / budget and cashback, it all helps.
Long weekend plans sound great, enjoy yourself!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I already suggested he send me the email but nothing has been sent. 😠 I phoned the insurance earlier & they have paid £787 out of £859 for the second claim. So I have messaged him & asked for £792 including the shopping. The credit card was £1034 so will be short by £247 but I have already saved enough to be back to £500 / 1000 in my emergency fund.I will put £500 back in emergency fund & bump the balance up from £292 up to £300 & put into long term savings as I didn’t add anything in August. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the difference from him. I know he should pay me the rest 🙄but hey ho !0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

How annoying for you!
Hopefully you'll get the money soon and do stand your ground. DS has to learn that emergencies / bills do pop up and to deal with them quickly.
Will PD actually be moving with DS and GF when they buy somewhere? If not, transfer ownership of PD to you.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Well done on finding it out. You are too kind with DS but i am the same with my nieces lol. Today was chilly to start off with and now it is much better. I hope you are having a good day. Your food sounds good. I was doing so well i fell of the wagon and ate it last night. lol.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

Ok I am a mess. Physically & emotionally drained 🥴
DS has checked his bank account & insurance money is not in yet. Should be there by Tuesday after the bank holiday.Fell off the wagon totally yesterday with food. As soon as I stop writing down what I eat I don’t feel accountable & eat rubbish. I had a bar of chocolate, 9 chocolate digestives & a very unhealthy choice from the Chinese last night. Will weigh myself a bit later & see what effect it has had.Physically, I walked the dog playing football with her in my walking sandals & later I walked to the coop for chocolate & biscuits in a pair of sandals (not my walking sandals) and have now triggered excruciating plantar fasciitis. Stabbing pain in my heel each time I stand up / walk. Serves me right for getting naughty food. I have started to do stretching exercises & may have to dig out my orthotic insoles from podiatrist.DS & gf are taking puppy dog out to the forest this afternoon so I will just walk her around the corner to the park this morning so she can stretch her legs etc. Then I will be resting. No more chocolate & back on healthy eating today. I will post my weight later to keep myself accountable.September entertainment budget £17.85 / £50 and it’s not even September yet ! 🤦♀️
4 pints Milk, bar choc, packet choc digestives (half price & half eaten by DS & gf) = £3 ish I will use the extra money left in my budget per SOA. A waste & too ashamed to use my shopping budget 🤦♀️0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Weight today 11st put on 1 lb.Hobbled over to the park & felt the pain in my heel as soon as I kicked the ball. Tried kicking with my left foot instead which was a bit rubbish but the dog seemed to enjoy herself. Bumped into a friend & had a good chat & a moan. Would normally have walked on with her & her dog but foot too sore today & the wind on the field was freezing 🥶
Sun is out so I am just going to hang the first load of washing out. It should line dry with this wind.Food plans for today
b - 2 weet bics & banana
L - egg salad roll
D - belly pork, jacket potato, last of the roasting parsnips in freezer, frozen broccoli I cooked & froze last week, green beans from friends allotment. The belly pork is covered in chilli but I thought I would scrape it off / wash it off & make a “roast” dinner with it instead. Hopefully it will taste ok.Snacks will be nuts & fruit0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

You need to rest Skinty. You're taking on all the burden of running a home, finance, chasing everyone up and working. There's only so much one person can do.
I feel your foot pain, it's not even as if you can risk walking and not putting your heel on the ground as that will cause other problems. Hope your exercises work.
Your food sounds great. I wouldn't even scrape the chilli off the belly as it will work with your veg.
Hope you have a good day 🌞Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
