    Ooooh Chinese, yummy!

I've always found rollers to be the most time consuming thing to clean and don't blame you for dumping it when you are finished. Mine is bagged as I'm finishing the bedroom off the weekend!

    Don't overdo it.

Last wall painted woo hoo! 🥳

There is a little paint left to touch up any patchy bits tomorrow. Then I can start arranging things back into the room onto the shelf units which have now been placed on top of the kitchen units to get more floor space.

Lovely sunny warm day today. I walked the dog this morning & got one load of clothes washed & line dried. I had a telephone appointment with my hospital ENT specialist this afternoon and have now been discharged to my GP. My voice is so much stronger now since speech therapy and laryngeal massage.

Tomorrow is a bank holiday & the 75th Anniversary of V E Day. Quite a few people have flags & bunting out. DF was due to be here this week, things are so different to how we expected. I can’t see much changing in Boris’s announcement on Sunday.

My bunting is up too. It's so exciting and i hope it is a wonderful day so we respect everyone that fought in the War. Well done on doing the painting and washing. I don't know how they can open things up when we don't have the infrastructure in place to protect us from a repeat of the first wave but the media is pushing for it. Wishing for a good day tomorrow. When this is over you will celebrate again with your father.

Took the dog for a walk this morning & was lovely until she decided to pinch a kids football and run off with it. I was mortified. Was trying to retrieve it when she popped it 😕 Got her back on the lead, took it off her, apologised profusely and offered to pay for a replacement. The father was quite aggressive & swore at us. I thought at one point he was going to kick the dog. The mother said it didn’t matter. I offered to pay again but they refused. Dog was marched home in disgrace.

Have just joined in the National 2 minute silence for VE Day. Am just going to hang some washing out & then need to finish painting. There are a few patchy bits that need going over. Shouldn’t take long. Will watch most of the VE anniversary events on tv.

Morrisons order was an hour late last night & didn’t turn up until midnight. It was ordered by DS’s gf & lots of stuff missing & she said there appeared to be no option to reject substitutes. Most of mine was delivered but there were a few expensive replacements so I will wait for her to work out what mine cost.

Oh no about pinching football's. Doggies do random things sometimes mine used to run off and not come back till we picked him up and bought him back! I hope you are ok that was quite frightening. Sometimes men get aggressive which is so unfair the mother sounds like she understood. Im so sorry Skinty.

I’m ok now thanks SW. Was rather shaken up but mostly upset for the little toddler, but tbh he didn’t seem to notice, too young to know what was going on.

I’ve had a sleep for an hour & just had pulled pork salad for lunch. Will finish the painting this afternoon

Finished the painting yesterday and used up the entire tin. Just enough to cover a few patchy bits & cut in with the brush. It looks much better now the extra coat has dried. Got one load of washing line dried. Also scrubbed the patio with some zoflora which came in my morresons order.

Puppy dog was naughty on her walk last night with DS & his gf 😕 She found a hairbrush someone had left on the field and ran off & wouldn’t come back. After 15 minutes she accidentally dropped it and DS gf managed to stand on it and get it off her!

Haven’t slept very well as have been stressing about taking her out. In the end I got up before 8am and took her out. There was no-one around so she played off lead with her ball and as soon as she lost interest she was back on the lead so she couldn’t get up to mischief! It was very hot I think it will be a scorcher today 🥵

Well done on getting your painting finished!

As puppy dog isn't behaving to well at the moment, she shouldn't be let off her lead. I know it's hard but you need full control and lower stress levels!

Things are very strange for her with you being around all the time, compared to before, and she must relearn the new routine. She doesn't understand 'naughty' and 'good', just sees that she is out playing and doesn't understand why a tone of voice changes or she gets taken straight back home if she does play.

For now, you need to go back to basics with her.

Following vet advice she needs some off lead time to run off excess energy or we have other behavioural issues. Thankfully we have a fully enclosed field nearby, which was empty at 8am and after running around with the ball we did some recall training and then back on the lead again.
One of the training words from the behaviourist is “good” and she knows what that means. She also knows what “leave” means but she was having none of it last night.

Will be doing more training today at home and she will have a lead walk tonight.
