Walked the dog this morning. Have spent the rest of the day sorting the rest of the utility room and clearing the remaining 2 walls ready for painting tomorrow. I just need to wipe down the skirtings and mask them with tape to stop paint drips.Another big bag of stuff to go to the tip. Apparently they will be reopening soon (?) In the meantime I have put it in the shed with the stuff I sorted earlier.I had fish & chips delivered for lunch, well I am on holiday 😊 Social distancing measures in place for delivery. Hi Baron_Dale I know very little about pensions. I work part time earning £15000 a year (gross) with a small mortgage and a large house. I have the property from my divorce settlement. Most of my working life has been part time. (Child / ill health) My property will be my pension and I will downsize. I will probably have to work until I am 68 and get my state pension. My company pension is not great but enough to live off along with state pension & no mortgage. I save £300 a month into a low interest instant access ISA. I will need to use some of that for moving costs. To be honest I haven’t a clue but don’t want to tie the money into overpayments on the mortgage or long term investments so I am ready to sell as soon as the time is right.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Many thanks for your response. Saving £300 a month for the next 17 years will provide you with a very positive cash sum. Maybe you could plan to go at 65 instead,2

Glad you have done loads of clearing for the painting! It is wonderful I cant believe how much we have done since lockdown and it is such a useful way to pass time with immediate tangible results. Yum to fish and chips. I don't know if my local delivers. I might have a treat if it does. lol. Good luck tomorrow.

Spent most of yesterday morning replying to emails about my equipment. I had some equipment delivered but it was the wrong stuff & broken 😕 Felt really stressed & no painting done.Got 2 phone calls whilst walking the dog this morning. Then 3 little dogs came running up and 1 nipped my poor dog so she went for it. I yelled at it and they ran off. Didn’t see the owner. Puppy dog is ok 🐶. One of the phone calls was from my GP wanting me to go into the surgery for a blood test. Am feeling really anxious about the thought of going in. It’s not urgent so I may cancel. They did say it could wait. I have till next Tuesday to decide.Have had a bacon sarni and cup of tea and I am going to paint one wall today.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Awake early again today just after 4am. Have fed the dog & am back in bed with a cup of tea.Had Chinese delivered last night using some of my holiday money. Not my usual place which is still closed, but it has a 5 star food hygiene rating & lots of good customer reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Social distancing delivery. Food was great 👍🏻 and there is enough leftover for 2 more meals.
One wall painted yesterday & the final wall to do today. Each day I have used an old carrier bag to cover the paint tray & when I’ve finished for the day I’ve wrapped the roller & brush in cling film to save washing. Once the final touch up is done I will bin the roller (keep the roller handle) in the old carrier bag & just wash the brush. Will try & get a bit more sleep before walking the dog later. DS is on night shift & will be home after 7am so he will walk her this evening.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
