I wish I could make a haircut last 2 months, I've got short hair and it needs it really every 3 weeks as it grows so fast, but I try and eke it out to 5 or when I get to the point of looking like an Old English sheepdog!

Enjoy the salon experience :) I love having my hair washed, but go for a wet cut at my place as I wash my hair every day anyway, and I can get a cut and my eyebrows tamed for £25! When I think back to how I used to spend nearly £100 a time on my hair.....

I spend £15 on a wet cut and the hairdresser comes to my house she is brilliant. I only have a bob. I don't dye my hair though which is why I'm so cheap. lol.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • My hairdresser will also come to your home but it’s much more relaxing to get out of my crazy house and away from the nosy dog :rotfl: plus she has a salon set up at her home.

Cut, 2 colour foils, base colour, wash and blow dry. Plus 2 cups of tea and a lovely chat, well worth £42 ;) Paid from household savings account.

Breakfast was £3.20 plus cup of tea 99p paid from entertainment fund. I got a pack of 3 rolls of Xmas wrapping paper half price 99p in the sales, one roll is a lovely plain duck egg blue which will do for birthdays also. I got a Xmas card for my dad and my sister for Christmas next year half price 45p each. Wasn’t impressed with the clothes sales, may look online. I could do with a new pair of boots as mine are very worn. May wait until the spring sales if there are no good deals.

Exercise- walked up and down the high street :p
    DS’s gf walked the dog.

    Dinner was from freezer.

    Plans for today (Saturday)

Physio/massage lady is coming this morning.
DS & gf are off work and taking the dog to the forest. I am going to pack away Christmas decs and Hoover downstairs while they are out.

Well done on getting hair done, bargain cards and wrapping. I didn't see much when we went out earlier this week either in the sales. Hurrah for massage.

Try to rest a bit too.

  • Massage was fab :D have felt very relaxed and had a lovely chilled day. £20 as budgeted.

I ordered a pair of boots and a pair of shoes from shoe zone sale £30.98. I registered for their news letter and got a £5 off code and it was free home delivery :T

All food from stores today. Cleared away Christmas decs & tree & cards. Several times up and down stairs and hoovered downstairs. I will make tags out of the cards with my pinking shears for next Christmas

Hello madame, it sounds to me like you have been busy. Im glad you had a massage and ordered nice bootsboots. Well done on the great price.

Making tags is a great idea. It's too late for me my cards have been recycled!

What are you doing tomorrow? Im playing on the internet and trying not to buy anything. I have figured if I just buy food and necessities I might be able to save another £100 at the end of the month so I am trying to be good.

  • Yep SW I was really pleased with the price of the shoes and boots just £25.98 :T

Today I have one load of washing to do. I need to iron my work trousers & I will be roasting a chicken which will make several meals for next week. Aiming for a NSD. Back to work tomorrow.

Back to work today roll on the weekend indeed SW

Called into aldi for peanut butter and carrots for the dog :p also got some mince and have made a big batch of chilli. Spent £16.81 today and I have enough for breakfast lunch and dinner to last 10 days.

Grocery budget 46.53 / £120. Still under budget but will need a few bits next week bananas, yoghurt, ham and crisps.

Exercise - took the dog out on the field with her ball. Short walk for me but she charged around after her ball :D
