That's what I thought too. I may have even drooled a little :p
Daniel Craig was on the big screen in a trailer of his new (not James Bond) film too :D

My goodness I had forgotten how uncomfortable cinema seats are ! Must be years since I last went saw The Proposal (2009 ? )Backache & neck ache today but it was a lovely relaxing day out. Costs were kept down by not buying popcorn / sweets in the cinema  to their prices.

  • The wind is really howling here. I have been awake for ages. DS & his gf & dogs came back last night and DS has just got home from night shift. I have a cup of tea and dogs have been fed. Hoping the wind quietens down soon and I can have a bit more sleep !

Saturday I rested in the morning. Put 1 load of washing out and went to a friends for a cuppa and chat. She gave me some tomatoes from her allotment and a jar of chutney. I think I will make a pasta sauce with the tomatoes and freeze it for bolognaise next week.

Washing dried outside, hung up and put away when I got home. Did a bit of weeding. Swept up the dead weeds on the path, but the salt water hasn't killed them all :( I put some boiling water on the weeds coming up in the patio dog run without any salt so will see if that works.

Home made chicken chow mein for dinner last night. Spent £10 on credit card on bay of E, bought some stickers / decals for my hob as the old ones are almost gone / washed off. Have had the hob for about 18 years ! Will pay off from annual bills/household account.

Hoping for a NSD today. DS & gf are walking dogs later. I am planning to relax before back at work tomorrow.

  • I hope work went well. Rain has been dreadful here.

  • Work was ok yesterday and apart from a quick shower it was dry yesterday afternoon until around 5.30pm.

I called at Aldee on way home from work and spent £25.90 on food. Budget is £25 a week or £100 a month. Also bought some waterproof gloves for dog walking in the winter £5.99 which will come from annual bills / clothes account. I am going to make a large batch of chilli beef & I got a 1kg joint of beef to go in my slow cooker and make stew/curry.

I walked the dogs with DS's gf before the rain and it was nice to get out and get some fresh air.

Spent £1.70 on junk today in the shop at work even though I took porridge, yoghurt and a sandwich from home :o will come from my entertainment budget. Must get some willpower !

It's great that you can shop in Aldee - it is a huge saving and their fruit is great. Yum to the beef curry.

Im going to cut back on spending at work too. Let's see if I can. Your bill payments are looking great.

  • Tuesday I made a big batch of chilli with 4 portions into freezer. Yesterday (wed) I called off at B&M and stocked up on curry noodles 29p a bag, Heinz garlic sauce £1 x 2 and hoisin & garlic Chinese sauce total spend 4.91 out of food budget.

I put the joint of beef in the slow cooker, then I went with DS's gf to the forest and we walked the dogs. Had a lovely hour walking but my legs are really stiff today :rotfl: When we got back the house and it smelt lovely :p I added sliced carrots, swede, parsnip & a couple of potatoes and had stew last night nomnom ! There were 3 portions of stew left which I put into freezer and 1 portion beef leftover.

Today I called at co-op and got cubed beef reduced from £4.50 to £2.29, put into freezer for next week. Also they had Chinese meaty pork ribs on offer £2.66 and magnum ice creams 4 pack £2. I have taken the money for cubed beef from the food budget and the money for pork ribs & ice creams from entertainment budget as its cheaper than a takeaway over the weekend.

    So far that's £33.10 / 100 food budget
    Entertainment £6.36 / £50

I used the portion of beef leftover from slow cooker tonight and made a curry with 1/2 pack micro rice. This cold weather is making me feel like comfort food !

Decluttering last week (week ending 29 Sept)
old mattress protector & old dog walking shoes - binned. Both had holes in ! More shredding, now halfway down the last box :T
