Well done on making breakfast at that early hour and on the puppy insurance money coming in.

Gosh, that is an early start! I don't find breakfasts like Weetabix particularly filling either, I know they're supposed to be....but I'm such an oinker that I'd probably need about 4 to even touch the sides!

I've tried all sorts of different things for breakfast, breakfast bars, flapjack, crumpets, malt loaf and I still feel hungry around 10am !

However today I overslept and woke an hour late at 5.50am so I didn't have time to walk the dog. I called off at the Tesco express on the way to work and got a warm cheese twist which was yummy but more spending :o

The latest payment has come off my credit card balance so I have updated my signature

I hope the cheese twist helped. :D

It is nearly Friday and we shall see if the weather changes. I don't think it will.

Yay it has rained :j and its much cooler

I am glad its Friday. I bought a naughty bacon roll at work and a bar of chocolate :o

I called off at Tesco petrol station on the way home from work as the orange empty light was on and put £10 in and bought an 8 pack of pepsi max and some cheese for meals over the weekend. I should have about £1 left in my account !

The cash-back cheque arrived from my home insurance provider today £50 :T so I will pay that in on Monday on the way home from work. Another week at work and then I have 2 weeks off

Puppy enjoyed her walk tonight it was much cooler and better for both of us. We set off around 4pm but it started thundering and lightening so we headed home. I don't mind walking in the rain but draw the line at getting struck by lightening ! It cleared by 5pm so we went out again for about an hour. Its meant to be only 21 degrees tomorrow !

I can completely understand buying a treat. I did the same too. It has been a loooooong week. Well done on cash back from insurance and also for managing to walk despite the rain. We had a few drops but not much.

    Have a good day tomorrow.

  • Managed to talk myself out of a takeaway tonight and had some thin sliced medallion steaks with salad & pasta for DS. Medallion steaks bought last week at aldi are around £3 for 2 so much cheaper than rump or sirloin

It's much cooler tonight so I was looking forward to a good nights sleep and saving some money turning off the electric fan, but neighbours over the back from us are having a party in the garden so I have had to close my bedroom window and put my fan on just to drown out the noise :(

  • The weather is lovely today ! Bright and sunny but a nice cool wind, much better temperature than its been for weeks !

Fed puppy at 6am then went back to bed for more sleep. Took her for a walk around 10am for an hour running around on the common, lovely and cool, now she's flaked out snoozing :D

Have checked online banking and all going according to plan so far. Planned all food from stores this weekend. I had bacon, courgette and cheese omelette for breakfast and will have ham salad for lunch. We are having fajitas for tea with more cheese bought yesterday, & I use natural yoghurt (which we have in fridge from last week) as its cheaper than sour cream.

I am just about to hang out some washing as its really windy it should dry quickly. Friends are going out this afternoon but I have turned down the offer to go as I just don't have the money for taxi's, food & drinks. I have my money budgeted for next weekends pamper day and going away to see family in August and new tyres so I really don't want to put more on the credit card now I have started paying it off.

We are looking at a new dog food from a supplier up north that my B-in-L uses for his gundog. He pays £15.99 for 15kg bag and DS pays £35.99 !!! The content of the food is similar and it will be a big saving. DF has said he will take me when I go up to stay in August, as its an hour away from there.
