Hope that sorts it out for you. I'm using uBlock Origin with uBlock Origin Extra on Slimjet (A Chromium derivation).

Very odd, finally managed to signup in private browsing mode in FF with Ghostery addon active, and it all went fine. It still would not work in IE and Edge, with or without adblocking addons.

So, yeah, in conclusion, GMX.com/co.uk do allow POP/IMAP/SMTP, but mail.com users have to pay, even though both have identical webmail interfaces and share the same backend. :)

So it seems its only mail.com users that have to pay for IMAP access, I just assumed as mail.com was part of GMX, its a blanket policy. I did try to create a GMX account to see what the fuss was, but they don't seem to be allowing new sign-ups, and its been like this for a few days.

Yeah -- seems to be an AdBlock issue. Strange -- it worked fine before with AdBlock, but I don't use webmail anyway.
It's all working fine for me with an an ad-blocker. However, when I post the link on here and then try to access it I get the same access denial.
Try Googling GMX and enter from the link there.....Weird eh?

One thing I will say in GMX's favour is the speed of IMAP connections, its very quick. Clicking through folders, there is almost no lag or delay, something I've not seen for a long time.
