Over sensitive?;)There are other email providers?
I see a lot of job application forms and cant help but think badly of the people who use anything other than google (and its variants) or hotmail. ('@outllook.... dude you set that up on your pager?')
OH has an @live email address, i shudder every time i hear it.
Apparently 50% of email domains are @gmail. Yahoo and hotmail take 2/3 with ~7% each.
I use GMX as it just sounds more grown up
and it's as good a gmail.

50% are gmail. Yeah because virtually every android device automatically puts that when you register it.
Do you have a google account..select no and it offers up a nice new gmail account.
I have several gmail accounts.
I have yahoo accounts for my spammy stuff.
I have AOL account because i was a member for a long time.
I have my own domains with email also.
You think someone with a gmail account is better than a novelty aol or yahoo name? Maybe you need to check how many scammers use gmail accounts?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Surely anyone even slightly IT literate would have their OWN email address rather than google/hotmail/etc ?0 -

Thanks everyone for the advice and recommendations. I have been wondering about my own domain for a while now. Maybe this is the time to take the plunge. I'm also seriously looking at MAIL.COM with maybe GMAIL as a backup. This everyone.net appears not to have a facility to bulk export the emails, so I may be stuck with forwarding them all. Thanks, again. GB.0

Not free, but hardly expensive.jamesperrett wrote: »But then you'll be paying for that domain - the OP wanted free email. However, I find it useful to have my own domain where I can give out different email addresses for different purposes.0 -
I have my own domain email addresses as well as potential "throw away" hotmail.com/gmail.com and live.com addresses. Very useful to have a wide range of addresses should any get hacked/spammed. Anyone "slightly IT literate" would be very foolish to have a single set of addresses within the same domain.Surely anyone even slightly IT literate would have their OWN email address rather than google/hotmail/etc ?0
