    Morning gang

DNMS - almost tempted to start this receipt thingy with your £15 find! :T
Hi happytails - nice to hear from you again :)
US - I am a YNAB convert too - hope you enjoy it and all of the training things/podcasts etc too.
Sorry to hear your news HappyKitties. :grouphug:

We didn't get round to ordering our kitchen last night - we're still not 100% sure so don't want to do it just yet - handles, taps and worktops are today's conversation topics. :D

    • Need to sort YNABs/check banking now lots of bills have come out
    • Pay £212.45 off my cc - just like I've never had my recent pay rise ;)
    • Take brekkie to work :A
    • Hopefully find a lunch for work :o
    • Get OH to make dinner

Nothing very money saving going on tbh...!

I'm experimenting with a new way of tracking spends mainly by using discounted reloadable gift cards - got my Ts one (4% off) and also have one of those love to shop vouchers @ 7.5% discount. This means I track the money as spent as soon as I buy them (less faffing throughout the month) and my monthly target is a bit more obvious (i.e. if I need to spend more than is on the card :naughty:). We'll see how it goes!

Oh, meant to say - you will never believe what happened to my yesterday - I was walking out the door to work and caught the handle of my bag on the door handle and it ripped!! Must've known I was thinking about cheating on it and buying a new bag :rotfl: #perfectexcuse :rotfl:

    Morning all :)
Ally, if you have kidney problems, a GP visit really ought to be on your list :(:naughty:
Happykitties, I think FatVonD makes a good point - a friend of mine has 2 three legged rescue cats. They lead very active lives, and run about, climb trees etc just like any other cat - if this option is suggested, it is worth considering :)

Anyway, I am off to DD's today to babysit her little one, so not much will get done:
Relisted lots of things on ebay as I have my February listings allowance today :T
Had some of the apples I cooked last night for breakfast
Meals from stores, OH cooking tonight :T
LSD - just a packet of chocolate buttons :)

Well, I hope I manage a bit more than that, but must dash off to take the dog out before I go!

    Morning all :hello:

Totted up Uber Frugal January last night and have managed to save £250 extra from meal planning/not eating out/taking snacks/avoiding charity shops etc  SO easy to fritter small bits but it really adds up! Even just the odd £1 here and there  So keep up with the small things everyone! :j :j

    Today...

    * home made soup, bread and biscuits to work
    * going to different site this afternoon with cafe danger zone so will take flask of tea, travel mug of hot choc (doesn't stay as hot as long but hot choc doesn't matter as much) and plenty of snacks :D was spending £3-5 a week in the cafe before I started doing this...
    * will cycle to work/town/home - again, was spending £2-5 a week on buses/taxis before started taking the bike - not big amounts but that's up to £40 a month just on those two things
    * tea from meal plan (hoping Mr Cheery will make it before I get back...)
    * banks/ynab tonight

Nothing else to do I don't think. Off to have a shower in a minute - fingers crossed my resealing has worked and we don't end up with water in the spare room again...

Have a good one all! :j

    Hi all,

Hive of activity as usual! £250 saved by being frugal in a month is massive! Well done!

For me its just the usual:
*Washing mountain to be tackled and rotated
    *Food all planned for
    *NSD
    *bit more work
*obsessing about my budget :) already completed 2 hours of this ;)

    And survey experiment...
*s/b already done my target so anything else if I get time is a bonus
    *P...none today so far
I don't think I have the time to do well on this but a few vouchers here and there would really help the presents budget and free up the cash for elsewhere.

Have a lovely day, its raining here but much warmer so that's good for the heating bill :D
