Morning All
It's been interesting reading about your Airbnb experience Ally Im curious myself as I'd love to do more this year but traditional accommodation is so expensive and if anyone suggests camping with two kids that are not great sleepers in a regular home environment anyway we'll, just no!!!
Ziggy So glad to hear you are able to look at life that way.
My list so far.
1. Transfer CB to main account. And actually work out when it next comes! You'd think after 8 years I'd have done that wouldn't you
2. Check how much home made leek and potato soup is left in the pot, will it do 3 lunches?
3. Answered two new business enquiries this morning. One was very annoying actually. Save me from !!!!!!!!!!s. Why has this site decided that f r e e l o a d e r s is a swear word???
4. Updated my cash flow list for the business account. Chased up one payment that has gone astray.
5. Renewed a library book online after the reminder came in. It's on DDs card anyway to avoid late fees. Kids aren't charged at our library.
6. OH WFH so a saving on travel.
7. Planned dinner. Leek and bacon risotto.
8. Tidied the Active Schools coupons out of my purse to put in DS bag later
9. Usual dailies
10. Will do my long walk this afternoon to save on bus fares.
Have a good day all.

Cancelled a membership costing £10 a month that i wasnt really utilising.
Also got myself a second job last week so will be bringing in up to an extra £500 from March :T

Oh definitely determined new ms...she isn't that fussed to go anyway but I guess the odd flash of guilt is going to happen for a while at least. We do the home cinema/tv nights and she loves it.Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -

You all sound so ultra busy and organised and I'm just like a slug at the minute:(
After the brilliant night away Friday night, we're back down to earth with a bang and not in a good way.
My daughter failed her driving test yesterday. Tbh I don't think she had the best driving instructor and the driving examiner shouting at her yesterday didn't help.
Have rang a new driving school today, and she is going to be going with a female driving instructor to get her confidence back up. All budgeted for.
My mum's cat who has been healthy (he's now 14) and so super sleek and a proper snob(humans are definately inferior in his world, and are there only to serve:rotfl::rotfl:),had started to become lame. When I took him originally, a full examination by the vet showed nothing and when she finally got him moving, the lovely little furball walked normally.
However is lameness is more apparent, and he has a swelling appear, but it is not hurting him...and that's the problem.....worst case scenario.....a tumour.
He's on anti inflammatories now and goes in for X rays on Thursday. It will just rip my mum apart if it is a tumour, but we will get to find out how much time we will have left with him if that is the case.
All of the family are chipping in with the vet bill to help, and the cat is currently making my mum suffer by demanding constant fuss and attention. She's had the neighbours visiting to come and see him.
Dreading Thursday and the X Ray and my poor mum is going to suffer when he goes nil by mouth in prep tomorrow night:eek: as she has two other cats and the dog to contend with aswell

Oh Happy Kitties that sounds like a worry, glad everyone chipping in with the bill though as it can get a bit costly.
Popped on to say just completed my first survey and earned £3 for a few minutes clicking! Yay! I must look into doing more as even an extra £10 a month would help atm!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Good Afternoon Campers,
Today has turned out a bit different to my planned day. Firstly, hopes of getting a good session in the garden/greenhouse went t*ts up because it's so far rained all day, plus I'm having to wait in for the broken radiator to be collected. The 'window' for collection time is a stonkingly helpful 9 a.m to 7 p.m & I'm still waiting. Decided to spend the day doing a bit of batch cooking. Checked freezer first to make sure I could fit in all the stuff I thought I might make. Nope! Barely room in there to stash a baby anchovy............
*Had a massive sort through freezer & made a list. There is enough food in there for 17 main meals for the two of us, plus 13 portions of home made soup (6 different varieties). Hmmm. I have a delivery of 3kgs of fresh fish a week on Friday & there's no way it will fit......so........
*Did next week's meal plans, prioritising stuff in freezer. This has worked well & should mean we achieve a reasonably low spend on our next shopping day too.
*Extracted a really annoying small lump of frozen pastry & turned it into a cheesy chipotle veggie pasty which mr f can eat for a lunch.
*Made bread dough in BM for rolls & tonight's pizza. Just on their 2nd proving.
*A bit of rubber pork magic - sliced the last leftovers of Sunday's joint & froze with l/o gravy for a 'free' roast dinner at some point.
*Made packed lunch & work snacks. Takes a little bit longer now, as we're both back on the weight loss & we're tracking our calorie intake.....the only thing that works for us.
*Last night's cheap overnight laundry now on heated airer. Did a quick half load to add to it as it's already using energy & that's drying too.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Tried to upload energy readings to website as requested by provider (which means the bill is on its way).......online thingy wouldn't accept my gas figure & had to waste a phone call phoning it in. I can see why. My fault. When I entered the readings recently, I typed in some complete rubbish, which I think may have been one of the electricity readings. Hopefully should be ok now.
*Checked ebay listings. 2 watchers but nothing else happening.
*Did a few surveys.
*Mended a fraying garment.
*Knit a bit more of my current order.
*Might bake some calorie-controlled mini-muffins (maybe apple & cinnamon?) or some little scones, but this may be done another day. In any case, no spending involved as I have all the ingredients in.
Off to see how much that bread dough has risen.
Cheers all,
