I'm generally rather jolly person, got my diy, crafting, kids, DH, garden, job and more that I love (not in that order). And well aware that I'm my own happiness smith (not sure if that makes sense). Much better now also that i rallied around and invited some friends round for a party this weekend. Oh well might start counting next year as 39b, lol
Prob just a midlife crisis. Might get a motorbike, lol
Wow if I press post super quick I can catch the last minute of your birthday! Here goes ' happy birthday thrifty'" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Congratulations on paying off the credit card lauralozzle.
Feels like it has been a long 24 hours. I did get the bed cleared, swept and made up with fresh bedlinen but was tooo tired to wrestle with the duvet so it is sandwiched between its cover and a coverlet. Realised I had never got as far as having my bath (was going to have it 'after' but just kept doing more bits).
Had a special bath with gelee in - couldn't get into a lovely clean bed dirty. Didn't have alot of sleep but got up to go to the chair based exercise class - it wasn't there! Poster had gone as well. I am sure I didn't dream it.
Finished off a library book and renewed the rest. My local history partner phoned and has booked me in for a neck, shoulder and back massage - will cost a fiver, so that will come out of the money the captain said we should put aside.
Loads more washing done, drying it is lagging behind but at least I have clean underwear. Have done a little bit in their room when they were downstairs and found 2 of my t-shirts and a pillowcase.
Some weeding done and done my bit for the environment and the local community by cutting back the ivy belonging to the furniture shop. It's pretty and hides and ugly fance and building but it gets out of hand and mums with toddlers holding pushchair handles are forced out into the road.
Today I am grateful for the rainbows in my bathroom (the silver specks in the wall panels are holographic and twinkle when the sunlight hits them),
for the rose scented room spray (very ancient and only a bit left) that I used to spray my mattress and duvet - sleeping on a bed of roses and for my local history partner for looking after me and getting me to try new things. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Happy birthday for yesterday thrifty
Congratulations on paying off the cards thrifty and lauralozzle
Yesterday was s spend day as I used my £10 and treated myself to a hot drink and cake at my favourite local tea shop
Not much else to report. Loving being on half term and catching up with friends, family and neighbours. It actually feels like I'm part of the community when I'm not just rush off to work and coming back and lying on the sofa!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all,
NSD yesterday as expected. Today won't be as I've got football (£3.50). I'll take another quick stock take of the fridge and see if I need to top up anything whilst it's a spend day.0 -
Get the plank ready! I was very naughty yesterday, Cabin boy treated me the a Chinese take away for dinner. That's probably ruined the weight loss this week but it was delicious,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Happy belated birthday for yesterday thrifty
Congratulations on paying off your CC lauralozzle , I bet it's a great feeling.
I have gone over my food budget but I am not too concerned as it was more aspirational than achievable I think but we will come in much, much lower than we have been doing, about £200 lessThere is still room for improvement but I will need to see what the meals are like in my next plan cycle before I set a budget for next month.
2 classes done this week and I struggled with the movement in my hip in one class (old running injury) and will book a sports massage when the guy returns from his travels at the start of next month. Done a PT session this week too but haven't run all month so will aim to do that this weekend. Our PT is going to concentrate on weights with us and I will do the cardio side through classes and running.
DH spotted a good value trip to NY last night that I am hoping to find out more about today. It is for 2018 and is on DH bucket list to visit.
Eating on plan this week and have managed to do a little bit of housework every day as have been working at home including washing all our bedding including pillows and duvet. We slept in the brand new guest bed last night and it is so comfortable we slept like a log. I think our bed needs a new mattress.
Today I am grateful for:
1) my valentines card, handmade last night by DS as I didn't get anything (DH and I don't do anything for valentines
2) my lovely husband
3) DFIL babysitting so DH and I can go to the gym together
4) a lovely night's sleepSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Took cabin boys to cinema on monday - price gone up from £2.50 to £3 ! gave them £1 in supermarket next door to cinema to buy their snacks, rather than them asking for huge buckets of drink and popcorn.
They were happy.
Home yesterday moving furniture about the place, and today as the laundry bucket has broken, waiting in for another to be delivered by Eh?0H! (there was a long post at the weekend but it has disappeared ...... pouf! gone!....) which DH has transferred the money for ! so all spends were planned, so still on budget and racking up NSDs all over the place.
I think I am on NSD #10.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

You have decided what you want to achieve and set your SMART goals, broken down into small steps. What next? How to keep on track, especially as life gets in the way.
7 Rehearse Potential Barriers
Work out how to deal with the tough times when life gets in the way of your goals.
8 Look back at your achievements.
Write down what you HAVE achieved and read it regularly to remind yourself what you are capable of.
Giving everyone a free pass on not-Valentines indulgences, especially as I had triple chocolate swiss roll after a non diet friendly (but using up stuff from the freezer instead of buying) meal. After all, we are following Captain abundant's orders.
Actually I think I deserve brownie points beacause the swiss roll has been sitting on a shelf where I can see it for several days and I left it alone. Also I stopped after a couple of pieces, as I had had enough. This is progress folks. I'm also trying to stop after eating part of my meal and wait for a while to see if I am still hungry (was having 5 crisp bread and need to get down to 3).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
