  • Quick pop in. Another NSD today. Can't wait for Friday - my me treat from Aphrodite. A massage. More than £10, but I get paid on Friday.

Then I'll be paying some more into savings. And towards my holiday budget for next month.

    Gratitude today:

    1) A great run with a friend.
    2) Musclefood deliveries. Fully stocked freezer - and Wagyu burgers for dinner.
    3) DH. Identical Valentines cards yesterday. :rotfl:

Lump paid to debt this month came from some money we'd put into OH's business and could now take back some of it, now that he's working again and there has been some funds coming back in to the business :)

Not NSD today - had re-purchased cheap cinema tickets for DS3 and myself for cinema but DS1 also wanted to come along - so spent £6 on another ticket for him and then £4 in Tesc0 on pep5i (pack of 8 cans, so still have 7 left - DS3 and I had water from home) and maltesers (so although £4 spent was much cheaper than cinema snacks and we still have most of the pep5i left) - and then £4.40 on parking (8 minutes over 2 hours, sadly - so fee doubled) Totally worth it though :)

Another non-fan of housework here - except for ironing. Ironing is relaxing (to me - I know not many will agree! :rotfl:)

    ETA:
More things I am thankful for today
    * 'free money' - £19.50 clubcard vouchers and £4.50 garden centre reward vouchers received in post today
    * £14.70 cashback claimed - so £15 transferred to OP pot :)
    * DD phoning me with her exam results - one was 2 marks off a first class mark and the other was a solid 2:1 mark - she was (rightly) pleased with her first efforts (and celebrated with a Nandos.... she and her boyf still have some mse ways to learn! :D)

He didn't really have much choice as I transferred the money from his account to mine to buy it!!

So today was definitely not a NSD.

    Today I am grateful for:
    1. My DH who is lovely (sometimes)
    2. My new PC so I can come on here!!
    3. Low level traffic during rush hour (due to half term)
  • NSD today as planned - back up to 4 :) was thinking i'd be at 5 tomorrow but forgot I've got a prenatal appointment tomorrow so that's £3 parking

3 things I'm grateful for are:-

Long weekend off work coming up
Hubby getting little man asleep before I got home
Mum bringing little man to see me on my break

Managed a NSD yesterday which takes me to 8/15 :) Today has been a spendy day, OH's birthday so I bought his present plus a few bits to make him tea. I also contributed to a present for my SIL as it's her birthday next week. Today I'm grateful for being able to spend time with OH on his birthday, yummy steak pie for tea and walking to and from work in daylight :)

Right then, coming to the end of a 4th NSD which is pretty good for me. :rotfl:

Okay, it's identifying the leak time. This one can only be called... The Idiot Tax. Otherwise known as having a perfectly good Oyster Card and forgetting to take it, so having to get a day ticket which is expensive... And forgetting the hole in the bus service so having to pay an extra 50p to a different company to get to work. (Resolved this week by getting out a bit earlier...) I'm keeping an eye on this one as it doesn't just affect travel.

    Grateful for:
Veggie stew in the freezer, home made :D
Getting home a couple of hours early. Unpaid hours off but what the heck.
    Several yards of books....
‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
"It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.” David Lynch.
  • Mrshubbard - a prenatal appointment is a medical necessity, so the car parking spends don't count against you, so long as you don't spend on anything else.

Today I am grateful for the Trolls movie (awesome!), for paying for said movie with a cmas gift voucher, for recorded tv to watch, for a lazy day with dh and dd, for a good book.

    Strange day.

Walked to crafts. I took the box of use up threads, a few things from the wip pile and some material and a pattern that I thought would make a good Mother's Day card (although using a largish piece of cloth as have ideas for it). Someone saw it and I have agreed to do a part of the design for her (whole thing was estimated at 37 hours) and turned down her offer of payment (complicated situation).

So made progress but ended up with more work than I started with.

I have realised that the next couple of days are rather busy so decided to go to Icyland. I want to defrost the freezer properly, there are some things (chicken/ mince) that can be used to make meals so I have bought short term things for beloved and DS3 to fill the gaps + grab and go food for me.

I was going to go straight from crafts but would have had to use my card and cannot remember the pin at all (just today, hoping it comes back after a good sleep). Came home and set out (with cash) after a short rest. Food can't be delivered until tomorrow and will be coming between 5 and 7 pm as the other slots clashed with my regular meeting (11am - 1pm) and my appointment (3.15 at the infirmary).

Might not be worth coming home - bus times mean I would be setting off as soon as I got in so will take a book and wait around at the infirmary (hence the need for grab and go food). Timing of food delivery means I still need something for tomorrow and I would like to visit mum but it's difficult and might mean taxis. May have to phone to discuss arrangements for Friday (aunt's funeral). Still don't know if mum will ne well enough for all or part of it and whether I have to go and collect her (and what is brother doing?).

Decide I will work on getting through tomorrow then prepare myself (find hat, gloves, scarf , pack bag etc - panda hat doesn't cut it for funerals) as much as possible tomorrow evening. Then worry about everyone else on Friday.

    Today I am grateful for
yellow and purple crocuses (croci?) and a few daisies in the grass around the church,
that a tense situation at crafts didn't escalate further (so complicated),
and for Icyland delivering (nagging back pain over the past few days but I have been doing quite a lot).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Toni's friend I detest housework and find an excuse not to do it. As there's only me, there's no one to complain if I don't do it so I have been less motivation.

Calling how annoying about your friend not saying thank you!

Today will be a SFD, it's half term but I need to go into school to start the mass printing of various exam documents for the students. Yesterday was spendy on a takeaway and a lunch out, however I don't feel bad as I only really socialise in the holidays, but it does mean all my expenses come at once.

Yesterday I cleared out lots more little items and now have a box to go to the charity shop tomorrow. I also have a few large bits that I hope they'll take, like a lamp (fingers crossed).

Suppose I'd better stop dragging my feet and go to school :(
