  • I am not only a disgustingly cheerful bouncy morning person, I also sing ridiculous songs and do dance routines until people get out of bed. If I were not enjoying myself so much and amusing me, I might even say I must be a total nightmare, but I am enjoying myself and it is not my fault these ridiculous people need so much sleep. Foolish mortals!

You sound like my worst nightmare Foxholes!!! I definitely do not function in the mornings :rotfl::rotfl:

Spendy day planned today but should hopefully come in within budget. Dragging myself out of the house this morning was a struggle but at least its almost my weekend (working Sunday instead) so just need to wake up properly and get going :eek:

  • Good morning all,

Yesterday was a spend day as planned, so that's ok.

Today though was a planned NSD however I noticed this morning that I hadn't clicked pay on my amazon order so I've put that through this morning, does that ruin my NSD? I tend to be strict with myself on NSD's so I would say so. Damn!

    Good morning,

I'm a moderate morning person. I used to like it to get up early and get stuff done by myself in peace and quiet before anyone else is up but now I have two little ones to take care off from the word go. I wish they would learn about lie ins ;) and have them or just get up and function properly and take care of themselves rather than having to be fed and dressed :p.

Yesterday was and today will be a SFD.

Finished the most of the wallpapering last night. Just a few corrections and fixes left.

DS is on a character building mission today :rotfl:. He is in holiday club in his school uniform :o. Just talked about the inservice day and midterm yesterday but forgot this morning. Oh well...DH will have to nip back at lunch and bring him a lunch as he doesn't have that either. Thank gosh his only P1 and not too bothered.

  • Today is definitely a spend day - supermarket, nursery deposit, toddler group. Tomorrow is 100% a no spend day, I'm at work tomorrow and tea is already planned so unless something unexpected comes up that's one ticked off at least.

3 things I'm grateful for today are -
Seeing how much my boy's coming along at toddler group playing with others.
A nice ( slightly cold & snowy) walk with hubby, son & dog.
Having tea made for us by the mil tonight.
    1 debt vs 100 days -

Bunks changed and bedding laundered. Uniforms washed and ironed. Walk achieved and alcohol avoided. Spent £12.95 but only on items which were needed (or will be) and saved £7.97. Dinners prepared for us and the Cabin Boy (he doesn’t like what we’re having). List prepared for jobs to be done tomorrow (it’s quite long:eek:).

    Today I’m grateful for;

The sick sailors having recovered (men are terrible patients – at least mine are)
The bulbs in my pots beginning to bloom
Visit from my little friend next door plus puppy
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Ahoy Turtles,

Haven't logged for a few days. Keep meaning to, update my signature and then get distracted.

Monday was a day's shore leave to get the telescope looking organs checked. Walked UPHILL into town (about a mile and a bit) and ran some errands and then got the eyes checked. New glasses get collected next week, money already set aside. Picked up a few bits for the stores, and made a £10.50 foodbank donation. Got lots of basics, pasta, rice, cup a soups, chopped tomatoes, cereal. Tried to think of basic type stuffs that wouldn't need too much else to make meals. I also bought a unity band from Cancer Research and a Red Nose Day pin so charity stuff is definitely done.
Tuesday was a SFD. Pottered around the house and then took myself for a little walk because I felt buoyed up from the trek into town.
Wednesday was back to work and another flare because I had to get fuel for the row boat.
Today was a SFD too but a bit of forgetful planning means tomorrow won't be. Got to stop somewhere and pick up some birthday cards. Should have got them on Monday when I had all day to look around and it was a planned flare release!

Abundant - In the ilk of the great NSK, a haircut, planned and budgeted or not, is definitely a spend. It's not an absolute essential necessity.

Seems like everyone is starting the month of really well and there seems to be lots of great moral!

    Today I am grateful for
    1. The last after-school groups for the kids!!!
    2. Sci-Fi. There is not much in my world at the moment that can't be solved by Farscape or DS9, I am a stargazer.
3 Not being taken in by all this Valentine's Day nonsense - I actually saw it shortened to VD, and it took me ages to figure out it was not venereal and why someone was looking forward to it. Is 42 really that old now?? - totally not down with the kids.

Been confined to sleeping quarters the last couple of days but OK now. Just been doing the usual washing, cleaning crafting and looking after dgd a couple of days. Not spent much but it's an expensive month for me, the money was already budgeted but it's still a shame to see it disappear out of my bank!
Right going to catch up on the ship's log.
See you all in a bit.
