Just finished catching up on GW from Friday (fell asleep and gave up in the end when it was on!). Now I understand your comments about feeling emotional - it didn't make sense at the time! Very sad.

Lots of agapanthas leaving the building - here is a pic of the one-third big lump - we had to be really careful of that gas pipe on the building. Now replaced in the space with some tomatoes and a couple of sunflowers as this patch of patio is seriously warm and sheltered! The agapanthas are consigned to pots so that they are a bit more manageable in future!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Right. Paid for 1000 litres of oil that was delivered yesterday. Got it just above its' lowest price as I think our return to travel will cause it to increase in price. The chap who runs the oil syndicate decline to offer another fill as he did one just after Christmas. Mine was almost exactly half the price I paid last time. I am happy!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Last night was virtual girls night out so I prepared a plate of snacks for each of us - my night began at 8pm after watering (my turn) - DH had almost finished his by then - I provided waitress bar service - beer then G&T with added HM elderflower cordial (saves on the premium cost of elderflower gin!) - then joined my girlfriends on line. 14 of us - utter chaos but the organiser orchestrated a bit of an update from each of us and only 3 were missing - it was great fun. The first time we have tried it and some could not find the mute button but still great to see everyone. I "accidentally" consumed almost all of a bottle of prosecco and a large G&T myself and what should have been time-limited to 40 minutes was over 2 hours in the end. Marvellous.
In other activity I potted on my chillies in into their final container (a large plastic window box) and we started to clear a section of the hedge where there is lots of dead stuff and invasive ivy and periwinkle. Oh, and I bottled a second batch of elderflower cordial.
Today I hope we go for a walk in a neighbouring place (short drive) as there is a beautiful garden to walk round - especially at this time of year. We might come back with a large pot and some more compost too.
Liaison with another group of friends about whether we can go away camping in July - been booked for a year and we all have motorhomes with our own facilities so a question of whether the guidelines will allow it. All three households have our own health tensions so physical distance will occur, even if we are together, and no hugging.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Had to postpone the walk as it absolutely hissed down and was blowing a hoolie so that will be today, if other commitments allow. We need to stop early enough for food preparation. We each had a quick herb omelette last night - second evening without sufficient vegetables - must do better.
Had our first radishes (french) from the garden - they are growing like mad! So much nicer than shop bought. However, we have three bags from the SM in the fridge so I think a snack dish of salted radishes is in order tonight. I do so hate waste!
DH has resumed the van bathroom refit work and has framed out the shower - there is not really room for two of us to work at the same time but I snuck in while he was cutting wood with a paintbrush and some oil-based primer undercoat to paint over all the stains where water ingress has previously occurred. Not sure if this is widely known but this will stop water stains from leaching through your top coat of paint. We have had two small patches indoors that had water damage evidence and I can vouch that it works. In all my years of DIY I had never heard this until my builder suggested it. It must be oil-based paint and not water-based.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Thanks all, I am feeling better this morning. Goodness knows what caused that but almost certainly some actual thing, rather than some bug.
I need to pot on several more tomatoes and almost certainly we need to drive to the nursery for more compost (still lusting over their big pots) and maybe a cheeky plant, and we must go to a DIY shed as we need more stuff for the the bathroom refit - we need paint (oil-based primer), wooden battens and a bit of white square drainpipe (downpipe) to use as boxing in for the pipes under the sink.
During the winter we picked up a beehive from someone who was reducing the number they have. Evidently there was a bit of honey left in it and yesterday the local bees found it and were busy robbing it. Trouble was, it was in our shed. Fast forward, all windows and doors open and the hive relocated to a sheltered spot by the fence. Happy bee visitors.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
