Presumably the courier's fault though rather than the flower company? Unless it's one and the same, I guess.
I think you got that last bit wrong - you're not his daughter! I seem to be having to be the responsible adult in the relationship recently (although they are all (mine and DH's parents) catching on and getting used to the idea now)!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

sounds like good progress on the greenhouse SL
Me & a friend have had to read the riot act somewhat with our parents. Hers live with her grandparents so its even more critical & though everything they could ever required has been set up for delivery she caught her mum about to 'just pop out' yesterday. mine are being relatively well behaved (mum on RA meds) but it took reminding them that I need to go food shopping for myself anyway so getting theirs (& their neighbours) at the same time really isn't an imposition, & Boris' speech today before it properly sank in to stop the little trips they have chanced in the last week. Threats of car key removal had been made.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

My Mum (90) drove over to my Sister's for dinner yesterday (!) sounds mad but my Sister and her husband are so self-focussed that they don't really have regular social or out and about beyond shopping and walking the dog. I felt a little disquiet that my nephew (who lives in Glasgow) was there but I guess the risk is lower there for the momentSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

That's an important one for us all to think about, isn't it - even for family, do they follow the same level of precautions that we do, and do the third parties that may be there? So difficult.

Well it feels as though the earth just tilted on its axis - again. I will do as Asthma UK recommend and keep a peak flow diary. Better today than when I had my asthma check last week
DH says that is because the air is already cleaner with so many fewer cars on the road. Stay safe everyone.
On another topic DS's boiler failed this morning and the regular boiler man phoned back to say he could not help. I was advising someone on some tree pruning when I took the call and was able to use the chap they use who willingly went to a completely new house and managed to get the last parts to fix it. Needless to say he is our star of the month. I cannot imagine how tetchy three young men would have become if they were trapped in the house together for weeks with no boiler or hot water. What a complete star.
I am practising my old workplace meditation as I can feel my anxiety levels increasing. From the outside I seem normal and in control but I know the signs. I feel sure I am not the only one. "One moment meditation" on you tube if any of you want to try it. It takes a bit of practice, I did that with him.
Don't think I will be going to my MIL's funeral nowFor my BIL and SIL's sake we need to minimise attendees

Sorry to hear you're struggling, SL, I'm glad you have a meditation you can rely on.

Sorry to hear about the funeral - I think that must be one of the hardest things coming out of this - weddings being postponed is one thing - but they *can* happen in the future - funerals are another thing...
It's surreal how quickly life has changed this month

Oh it really is, isn't it greent. Good to "see" you, by the way, hope all is well at yours.
DH has read me the riot act act about the Virus. I am not to keep talking about the fact I think it would likely kill me if I catch it at this point. I am useless at looking at the effect my "in control" facade has on those around me. Both he and DS are frightened for me but trying not to talk about it. I always have to analyse things from the worst perspective so I can have thought of that. He pointed out that as blood group A male, in his 60s he is statistically at high risk too. We both got texts telling us to stay at home.
We do need a few dairy things really but can go another day.
I bought a FB Portal thing from Arg' but it does not seem to be able to load my profiles from either WhatsApp or FB. It sees and confirms then just goes into perpetual spinning wheel. TypicalSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Ooh I sound like a right misery. Sorry. I am going to try and get on with lots of tasks today. I definitely need to get the veg garden planning done. Plenty of stuff to be getting on with.
