Well, we have got one of the hinges off - just need to get the other one off now

Nightmare job from hell. We finally got it apart and have ordered the spare part for the part that has expired. It won't be delivered until Wednesday so I think we should reassemble what we can or I am likely to have forgotten how it goes back together by then (eek emoji)

We promised ourselves we would make a start this morning. I want to reassemble without reattaching the door, then when the rubber gasket arrives it can be inserted and the door reattached. The problem was me undoing the wrong screws before removing it at the hinges (there does not seem to be a locking feature). He then undid some other bits that I did not see - so he needs to remember which of those bits goes where (hence my concern about whether we can successfully reassemble it!)

My M-i-L died in the early hours of this morning. Very sad but we lost the person a long time ago. It was a release for her as she was obviously in intermittent pain, despite a cocktail of drugs to relieve it. Very sad but a long and well-lived life, much diminished at the end. We love her for who she was. DH has been travelling to support and she was not alone. Lots of stuff to sort out, I might not be around too much.
