I haven't updated this in the longest of times. I just haven't been particularly happy and keep feeling as though I am wading through treacle. I have begun my counselling and, well, I guess that only time will see if it can help me lay old ghosts to rest.

My spending hasn't been the best but I haven't gone crazy. My spending has only gone on food, my little one and well, that's it! My days of painting the town red are long gone but I have bought a few books and subscribed to Netfl1x.

As of today, I have £4220 saved. I am getting there but I have a long way to go if I want to be a true savvy saver.

I think that I just need to take each day as it comes.

I agree that's all any of us can do. I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling down and I hope your counselling helps. I think you have still done really well on saving as much as you have Make sure you take care of yourself too

I really have let the eye off the ball and I need to sort myself out fairly pronto. I am not up to my eyeballs in debt or anything but my saving has been pretty rubbish. By rights (in a 'here is what you could have won' style) I *should* have £8k saved but I don't. I have just over half of that amount. And it is all my own doing. I don't really have anything to show for my reckless spending either. We have been on no fancy holidays and no fine dining experiences either.

Grr! I am my own worst enemy! Anyhoo, I have just had two NSDs on the trot and I am hoping that today will be the third.

I have finished my block of therapy sessions and I did/do have PTSD. I can't say that I feel any better ... or any worse but I guess that time will only tell.

    Onwards and upwards!

Thanks :) It doesn't feel like they are great because I know that they could be better.

Today wasn't an NSD because I took my son to the park in the afternoon and you *have* to have ice-cream when you go to the park. I spent about £6 on two ice-creams and two drinks.

I was paid last Friday and have decided to give myself £50 a week spends. I haven't drawn any of it out of the bank and the longer is stays there the better as I have a few things on the horizon that will need pennies. If I can keep myself on the straight and narrow, I *might* be able to have £10k by the end of the year. Or as close to it as I can.
