My attempt to be a super saver

With any luck I will find a fortune Bobobski but, knowing my luck, it will be spiders webs and long forgotten cat toys haha.
Today was an NSD. We went swimming and then to the tip (how glamorous!). I needed to buy petrol yesterday and I made the mistake of taking my little one to a soft play centre which was hideously busy. My little 'un had a fab time and it was lovely seeing him mix with other children.
Tomorrow will be all about parcelling up a mus1c magp1e box, going to the tip again and going for a walk in the woods. And tackling my wardrobe as the thought of having a capsule wardrobe is becoming more and more appealing.0 -
I can't believe how much money I have wasted over the years. It truly is horrific. I put two bin bags of old clothes in the clothes recycling bin at the tidy tip today. They wouldn't have sold on eb@ay and a lot hadn't been worn or barely been worn. Did you know, if I touched an item of clothing in a shop I had to buy it. I couldn't just leave it. How silly was I??!
Once upon a time, I couldn't leave a supermarket without the latest chic-flic book sitting in my basket. Silly little tales with lovely embossed covers that I couldn't resist. I will admit, I did enjoy reading some of them but a lot were a load of all unbelievable tosh. Urghh!! A waste of money especially when you consider that I have had a library card for almost all of my life!!! My previous decade, although fun and exciting, was spent being money dumb ... money silly ... money daft ... well no more!!!
This is why I now rarely clothes shop and why a capsule wardrobe is so appealing.0 -
I was exactly the same. It's nice that we've cottoned on whilst we have time to change and save though. :j
Hope you are having a good day today. :money:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

I am definitely thinking twice about my spending habits now.
It was. Any day in which there is no alarm clock is always fab!0 -
Many years ago, when I was much younger, my idea of a lovely Saturday would be trailing the shops to find some nice new clothes to wear out that night. Now I do my best to avoid shops on a Saturday and whilst I do like new clothes, | very rarely go "shopping" nowadays. My clothes are more likely to jump out at me whilst I am food shopping in a supermarket.0

Today has been a good day. We woke up to bright blue skies and sunshine so we went to the park just in time for ... the heavens to open. And it has rained ever since! It's always the way!!
I have also sold a lot of my old work tat on fb. I am still waiting for one payment and then I can post the lot tomorrow. I also have a pile to put on eb@y which I will do at some point tomorrow as well.
Today isn't an NSD as no trip to the park can go without a visit to the cafe. I do pack drinks and snacks but it just isn't the same in the eyes of a small person. I took with me a handful of pound coins from my money box. I might as well spend them before they can't be used in the shops lol0 -
How did today get to Top-of-the-Hill-Wednesday already??!!!
We are staying in today as I have a Mus1c M@gpie parcel being collected and who knows what time they will arrive. I am hoping that it will be soon as we need to go to the tidy tip and drop off a few squillion bags at the charity shop. A new one has opened up nearby and I can park in front of it (which is brill when you have a small person).
I listed a few things on eb@y yesterday and will try to do the same today as well. I didn't make any fb sales yesterday but I do have one person who hasn't paid despite assurances to the contrary.
I am aiming for an NSD to offset yesterdays doomed trip to the cinema.0 -
This sounds great and really positive. De cluttering is therapeutic.
In the past when someone hasn't paid for my things on fleabay and they don't want it fleabay need to be contacted and they cancel all your costs etc so you can relist it.

Decluttering is ace. My mind feels so much freer and I still have a long way to go.
My dithering non-payer was on fb and I gave up in the end. I will pop it on again later ... well, in a couple of weeks or so0 -
