Sky Fail To Reach Agreement With Discovery

Sky are getting rid of 13 channels including Eurosport and many Discovery channels and they are saying they are 'unable' to give any discounts.
I'm probably going to call virgin to see if they can match my deal. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks!0 -
Try sky chat. They might be able to give discount on your tv package but I wouldn't think not much though.0

I've looked at my Sky Q contract via MySky and based upon this, it looks like by removing the channels they are not in breach of contract.0

You need to look at the section that covers ending the tv services, not how they change.
I've cancelled due to this and lots of other people have as well.0 -
I can understand this when the channels disappear, but they haven't 100% confirmed this is going to happen yet?0

im jumping ship (gave 31 days notice last night!) now from SKY for tv (out of contract now even though I just re-negotiated a 50% off tv offer from sky for 12 months - luckily without being tied into a contract!!) and will be leaving totally (phone/broadband) when our contract finishes in june 170

For those who don't have Sky Q does section 11 (a) (iii) of the Sky TV Terms and Conditions not give you right to leave within the minimum term if you reasonably consider you are materially disadvantaged?0

with everything that's going on surrounding this at the moment, it's pretty much cut and dried that they will leave.
discovery are targeting sky customers directly with a campaign to "save" the channels which suggests that they have no intention of budging over their price demands and want sky customers to badger sky into paying what they think they're worth.
they should be concentrating on finding a solution rather than encouraging people to take sides0 -
Ok, I'll give them a call tonight and push for it.0

Just spoken to a sky rep who have said that as of yet its not 100% that the channels will be disapeering...Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0
