Tesla Rolls Out V3 Supercharger Capable Of Deliver 1,000 Miles Of Range Per Hour
... But you do realise that if everyone in the UK had Teslas and for some reason they were all visiting a town where for some reason only one charger was working, then the queue would wrap 5x around the world & everyone apart from those at the front would starve because Tesla wouldn't have thought of placing snack vending machines every couple of hundred metres along every trunk road just in case this eventuality ever happened ... for some convoluted reason, that is! ....
Naughty Tesla - everyone knows that any other automotive company already has well rehearsed contingency plans for this very likely scenario, so I can't understand why they've been so slow to publish their own plans!
For myself, of course, driving more than 1000 miles in a day with no comfort breaks (only refuelling stops!) on a regular basis, this would mean that my journey would now take all of the 24 hours available daily, thus depriving me of a whole 4 hours of personal downtime before I'd need to start all over again ... see, toldya that electric cars, particularly the ones that I said that Tesla aren't really making (it's a scam, there's only one mock-up on the road, which they continually photograph, move & repaint!) could never catch on .....
Long live pollution .... deep down you know that it's good for you and that climate change would be great for the local tourist industry ... :T
It's true of course, absolutely no spin here ...:D

Well, just to prove Z's not the only one that can 'spin' a yarn, or knock an idea/post - turns out my post was wrong, wrong I tells you.
As a commentator on the article pointed out, at 250kW, 4miles/kWh and 1,000 miles per hour, a 5min charge isn't 75 miles, it's actually about 83 miles.
Time to beat myself silly with a wet copy of the Radio Times (not as punishment, just a happy coincidence).Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

But I thought it obvious that everyone knows that Tesla chargers work on decimal time where a day comprises 10 hours of 100 minutes each containing 100 seconds ... nice to see that they're finally catching up with Europe by entering the metric age ... makes 1000miles range per charge hour look quite weak when you look at it that way .... users won't half be disappointed when they find that they can only charge at 41% of the speed they were expecting, but that's what you get if you're behind the leading edge of technology and are still using old fashioned 'imperial' units ... base 12, who uses that any more? .... Tesla, Pah!, they're simply milking their own spin machine, but I've not ever said this in these exact words - I've nothing against them and wish them the best,[STRIKE] however short-lived their existence should be! [/STRIKE] <self-censored to remove any potential idea of bias!(;):D)>
By the way, who's spinning? ... I say bring on Brexit & a move back to the old ways as I quite fancy seeing the faces of the metric generation as the duodecimal system is re-explained & we return to a 'hefty' currency where the pound in your pocked can actually weigh far more than a pound! - that's a real pound, not 0.454 of one of these new fangled metric thingamybobs ...;)
Horse & cart was good enough once & look at what happened there ... the summers were too bright & hot, with the winters too cold, so a little climate change caused by all of this CO2 & particulate matter has done wonders to help smooth the difference as well as acting as a form of population control, after-all - what would the world be like if everyone lived forever? ... who wants to be cold in the winter, not me - I'm alright jack! ... _party_:silenced:
Really, there's no spin here ... it's all true & deep down everyone knows it is - I've seen plenty of consumer polling saying so! ..

Hiya, bet you think you went way OTT, but wait till Tesla announce a loss for Q1 (and possibly Q2), as they switch to worldwide distribution of the TM3, restructure, and invest/expand in China.
Then there's the TMY launch next week.
I expect the 'sensible and rational' advice posted on here will dwarf your extreme comments, and make them look like a calm and quiet discussion with Stephen Fry by comparison.
BTW, don't knock Brexit, I'm looking forward to it, apparently rationing was great fun according to my Dad, and there are loads of handy tips too, such as when he was a 'butcher's boy', and you could make up volume (if short) for sausages by scooping up some bloody sawdust off the floor - Mmmmmm, yummy.Mart. Might be a flash in the pan, might be due to reservation backlog, but the TM3 was the top selling BEV in Germany, in February, despite arriving late to the party (Feb 13th).

I dont think so. They will find it hard to make enough to satisfy Chinese demand, and any excess will be surely targeted at other Asian countries or maybe longer term, Europe.0 -
