Valentine's day

I was thinking of making this:

I was considering making a card but I've found a few cards online I quite like (Although £3.45 for a card?!) I found a few really nice Christmas cards in Card Factory so I might even pop in there for the card.
I work Monday-Friday 9-5, and he lives 40 miles away (so doesn't give us much time to do anything on a Tuesday night) so we're thinking of putting off Valentine's day until the following weekend. Then it'll probably just be our usual of lazing about, watching films & eating junk (so romantic!)
Takes me back! I did this for my now husband on our first valentines day/year anniversary. I put them on a a keyring ring and made a little booklet of ten things I loved. I figured it had got lost over the years only to find out he had kept it in his wallet this whole time,
Its our 5 year anniversary on day after valentines so probably a nice meal or something as we dont usually dine out a lot!Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.0 -
I have taken the day off work - not because it's Valentine's Day but because it is half term.
I have a great shop at work and bought OH's card today - for 20p (Also bought one for my Dad to give to my Mum!
OH will probably be working away.0 -
Ok so normally I don't care about Valentine's day at all but hey, I'm currently smitten so I want to make a wee fuss of him.
I'm thinking of doing a bit of arts & crafts (It's a bit cheesy but like I said, I'm smitten)
What do you all have planned for Valentine's day?
I'm getting my GF a fridge, I can't wait to see her face light up when she opens it.0 -
OH is working nights so nothing! I don't really like going out on Valentine's day itself. I don't like the forced romance and most places seem to have expensive set menus. If I'm going out for expensive food I'd rather choose what I'm eating.
If you're just dating I'd cook him a nice meal at your house. It's not as special if you live together, every day must be Valentine's in our house because I cook for him nearly every day! :rotfl:0 -

My ex used to work in Tescos - about a week after Valentines, he came home with a bag full of (heavily reduced!) chocolates:D0 -
I'm single and working Valentine's Day night, funnily enough, for Tesco.
So the money I'd have spent on a romantic gesture will go towards the half price boxes of chocolate I don't really need, haha. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I'm starting to get bored of Valentine's Day. I used to love it but it's got to the point where it just seems a bit contrived. The novelty has worn off and I'm not looking forward to spending an entire evening trying to think up yet another cute poem to write on his card.
However, it is the only time that my partner buys me flowers, so I'll have to keep emphasising to him that it's a really important day!0 -
When is it?
Whenever it is I shall not be doing anything special.
I've always hated that one day a year you "have" to do something that you would normally do during the year anyway (apart from the buying of a tacky card)“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
If you need a date to tell you to make a fuss over a partner (not you personally but in general, there is something wrong.0
