I've got nothing done today...well been looking at MB bookies that I haven't done yet, so I'm sorting out a list there. Still haven't listed on ebay...perhaps we could have another ebay challenge soon.....I'm more likely to do it if it is on a list.
My excuse is I feel a bit rough still, but I think some of it is that when ever we do DIY or big sorting out, everywhere gets really messy and I just can't face it.
Not doing any Christmas sorting out. We are going to be in Oz, so not sure what presents I'm going to have to buy and I'd like to send Christmas cards with a 'summer' look about them....
So its been a bit of a useless day today, perhaps I should take another look at the list and find something to do...

Got the KEYS :D only one problem, we shouldn't have because they haven't finished emptying it yet! They told estate agents would be done today. Been on phone to estate agents who is going to contact landlady, the person who was moving the stuff for them said it will be at least the middle of next week, definately not by today. Now in a way it isn't a problem for us as we aren't doing the final moving until 21st, just taking small stuff until then but I don't want to pay rent to her for her to store all her broken stuff in (which is basically what was left) and there is a LOT of it so we can't move all our things in until it's gone. Estate agents are chasing it up and trying to sort it out. I've got a decorator booked to have a look at what I need doing to do an estimate tonight and I don't want to mess him about so still doing that, but have cancelled the borrowing of the pickup tomorrow to move the stuff from the sheds etc.

Right best go so can meet the decorating guy, hope you've all had a good day, will catch up more this evening when I get back!
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Afternoon everyone

    mushy peas happy birthday

lil-me that sounds a bit rubbish particularly as it will now hold you up. sounds like poor management on their part.

rach loved the cards -looked very professional

I'm having another day of feeling rather grotty. Went to bed at 10ish last night, DH let me sleep in till about 8:30 this morning, and i am still tired and feeling rather queasy again.

We've been out most of the day trying to do stuff.
    • bought birthday card and pressie for girl who charlie is going to party for
    • bought nephews birthday card and pressie
    • bought sister a birthday card and pressie
    • bought stuff for party bags for charlie's birthday party in a couple of weeks
    • made up the party bags so it is done
    • done an ASDA shop
    • packed all food shop away
    • looked for a cheapo tracksuit to turn into a fancy dress outfit for charlie
    • bought another birthday and xmas pressie for charlie
    • paid a cheque into the bank
    • got a letter telling me the date of my 1st scan (12th of October)
    • DH now doing a bit of the garden - it started with a tidy of piles he chopped down the other week when the bin was full, not sure what he moved on to
    • done a small wash of charlie's soiled clothes
I was going to go and visit my parents today as i haven't taken charlie for nearly a fortnight, but i really can't face going out again.

tonight i need to iron some stuff so it is ready for us to go to this christening in the morning. We will need to leave the house by 11 sh.best also find out the pressie. I bought it ages ago, and it is all gift wrapped and everything, but i put it in the spare room safe, and it is a bit of a state in there. I should also mark some of the 2 and a half sets of books that i have at home, as there won't be much spare time tomorrow.

Quiet on here today. I am finding the ebay listing so time consuming. Two items only ready to upload in the morning. Others photographed but need turbo listing. Please tell me it gets quicker.

Off out with OH tonight on belated anniversary meal. We have argued all day so looking forward to it not!

Oh Michelle, impossible can wait, focus more of your energy in getting getter.

Dusty agreed it is quiet today, either all enjoying family days or the burried within the weekend list somewhere, hope the meal goes OK, we end up doing the same and always argue before going out, I have no idea why but always happens.

Well painting of DS1s room is getting done tomorrow, we sort of have no choice, it's my mates fella who is doing it and her baby is due soon so we don't want to wait as could arrive any day now. DS1 picked his colour himself so he's happy, fisherman's blue (he's a waterbaby). My friend coming over with me to supervise cleaning, told her not having her doing it but know I will catch her with a cloth at some point, she's a clean freak which in addition to her nesting time starting makes her a nightmare and as you can imagine after a year there is quite a bit needs doing, cobweb tackling included.

The kitchen definately an ikea one, found the labels, it's got those weird rotating shelves inside them and drawer dividers..

I need to hunt for instruction manuals for the dishwasher, washing machine and cooker, the cooker could be a tricky one as label just says 'made for ikea by whirlpool' might have to see if the landlady has one.

Part of me is wondering if the landlady's Mum is on here, I found stardrops and zoflora :rotfl:Did have a funny moment, I tested the shower to make sure it works and couldn't switch it off, it's a bit high for a shortie like me so had to climb in to sort it :o my son thought it was hilarious as I got soaked, clothes included. DS2 was a little star helping with carrying stuff, measuring up etc. Taking TV was handy for DS1 who was more than happy to just let us get on with it.

Oh another :o I couldn't lock the door, thankfully a neighbour seen me struggling (I didn't tell him I had been there over half an hour trying to lock it:o ) and did it for me, lovely guy and very helpful, which is of course a good sign, seems you have to lift the door to get it to lock, friend's boyfriend had a look and thinks the door needs rehanging

I think I best do a list for tomorrow, didn't get the freezer sorted through today so will need to be on the list. Hoping the stocks will help keep this months GC budget low aswell :D

Not much in the way of flying done here. Didn't get out of bed until midday after going to bed at 10pm :rotfl: Did a towel wash which I've just remembered is still out on the washing line so I best go bring it in. Other than that I've done nothing :rotfl::rotfl: Oh well, its the weekend :p

    hello all

my day didn't go according to plan but has been good all the same! walked into town via ordering the wedding rings, OH put them all on a 12 month 0% card which is good. walked into town along the seafront, though we were having a 'discussion' on the way so didn't notice it much!

went to debanhams and decided we're definitely going for blue denby. the black (jet) is nice too but i have a feeling it will date, whereas the blue is classic.

we were planning to go for a mexican (bargain place we like) and then to see 'run, fat boy, run' but the mexican was full so we were a bit stuffed so we had a subway, got the bus home and got a dvd out! OH cooked fajitas for tea and i've been in my pjs since 5pm! :)

don't think i'll be late to bed tonight, OH wants to watch match of the day so i'll prob take the opportunity to get extra kip

OH keeps looking at the old style thread titles and making smart@rse comments like 'it's not the war...' he thinks i am funny being all old style!!!

  • I am still feeling so rough. I was sick while bathing charlie which made the poor thing cry. DH was outside at the time so i had to struggle for a bit before getting his attention.

Since then, DH made tea, i ate what i could manage. I had a quick chat to my sister on the phone to explain where i have been. Just popped on here to check emails and stuff, and good job i have as we have sold another DVD on amazon. Only for 3.50, but better than nothing,

i have managed to find the christening pressie, but still have the ironing to do. If Dh doesn't go and find it out soon though i will be refusing to do it, as i am going to have a bit of a soak and then another early night i think.

I think i will be trying to leave as soon as we politely can tomorrow, but as it is DH's boss, don't know how early that will be, but i can't be feeling like this while out and about.

Anyway, i am going to log off for tonight. Don't think i will miss much as it seems really quiet.

    Michelle, x
