re weekends lists not for me, but wouldn't mind if thats the way its going to go as I just wouldn't post, do like the earlier suggestion of starting to bring something re christmas to the list as I always run around at the last minute and normally miss last posting dates.
Thats me for tonight going for an early night with a cuppa and a new book, will hopefully post again tomorrow night to catch up and update my list.0 -
BUT my suggestion, for what it's worth, what about seasonal or semi flylady tasks for weekends eg order/buy/make Christmas cards, update finances (be it MS money like I have set up or old fashioned notebook), update present lists for Christmas/Bdays wash/hoover the car, prepare draft excluder's ready for winter etc etc, check/update important paperwork eg guarantees, life insurance, wills.
I know a lot of those are on my 'need to do' list and whilst quite a few are not strictly flylady type things they do need doing and some can even be done while sat at the PC
Think this is a great idea
And Traceys one on the Christmas thing (but it may have to be modified on some way coz sometimes its a bit much!!!)
I love the way people saying they need to do things jogs my memory of oh @rse yes i was meant to do that, normally around a month ago.
Pigpen can we have a fly the handbag this week please, i amused everyone in the pub with what i could pull out of mine
and second the defrag thing.
oh and having read jo's post it reminded me (see i knew it had uses hanging around here!) i have some mending to do, could that go on one? maybe the weekend?0 -
shell hope you feel better soon, don't want to sound too much like my mum but you must try and eat. good luck with your new dog
michelle hope your little 1 is feeling better soon.
Lil_me i really hope you here something soon about the house(is it the one with the fantastic red kitchen?) it must be awful just waiting for an answer. is it you who is getting new car tomorrow? if so have fun and hope it stays looking cleaner and tidier for longer than mine did:o
oh has done ALL the clothes squashing(bless him) kids suposed to be in bed asleep but by the row going on up there i doubt it.
dw finished. wm on.stuff ready for pack ups tom
gonna try to be a good girl tom and fly and catch up(as long as i stay off the blinkin pc)as got to wait in for a delivery from tesco direct.
am off in a bit as oh has challenged me to a game of Buzz on PS2(be grateful its not singstar:p )at least now kids are upstairs i won't hear High School Musical2 for a few hrs.scary thing is i'm starting to know some of the songs:oLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
lol seems we are all thinking along the same lines!
michelle hope Charlie is feeling better in the morning, if ever we have a worry with DD or DS we check the NHSDirect site and then if needed cut the middle man out and go straight to walk in centre or A&E. Once waited over 6 hours for a call back for my friend who had terrible pain in her ears and couldn't balance (no alcohol involved!), they went through all the details again and then suggested we go to A&E by which time it was 8pm on a Saturday night  the waiting board thingy said 3hrs, 5hrs later I asked how much longer to be told at least another 4hrs  abandoned that for a game of soldiers came home dosed up on paracetamol/ibrufen stayed dosed up on Sunday and went to GP's Monday morning.
have to say they were fab but he was screaming in my ear while i talked to them. From initial phone call to having talked to a nurse then dr was only 15 mins. He then gave me an appt. at the clinic for 30 mins later. We arrived after 20 mins, and were taken straight in. I suppose it depends on who the patient is and what time of day/year.If we had waited for long we would have gone straight to the clinic.
And i am also chuckling at the psychic connection that obviously links us all, and the fact that we can only think of doing this if it is on the flylady list. :rotfl: We are a special bunch,0 -
Hi all
I'm in again this week
Thanks Pig_pen:j
I haven't decided yet whether i like the idea of weekend lists. I find i'm usually still playing catch up and long to have a day of doing nothing ( which is actually impossible anyway with kids list or no list). I think if it's there then the people who want to do it can, and those who don't want to don't have to.
I'll probably give it a go and see how i get on.
I like the idea of the deeper cleaning too because theres always stuff like that to do but i never seem to get round to it:o

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie to the board.
I quite like the idea of this thread, so will be joining you all this week.
Housework of any kind definitely isn't my favourite thing to be spending time on, so not sure how much I'll get through. Tomorrow will be steam cleaning the downstairs floors as well as the general WM, drying and putting away. Hmmm did I miss the ironing in that sentence? Nope, I just don't do any0 -
Hi
Thought I better say Hi again. Have been reading but not posting as had a really carp week. Have had major behavioural problems going on in our house and have gone through every emotion possible so flying's been out the window. Not actually feeling any more positive about achieving anything this week but gotta start on a positive note, certainly helped by the hedge trimming humour.
Priority is to meal plan because this seems to make the biggest difference for me by actually knowing what I'm gonna do for tea when I get in, so will do that when I go to bed (OH is on nights again so wont object!)
Before bed need to :-
[STRIKE]Sort and[/STRIKE] iron [STRIKE]uniforms for tomorrow[/STRIKE] still need ironing
[STRIKE]Make packed lunches[/STRIKE] - took ages
[STRIKE]S/S Kitchen[/STRIKE] (and maybe something off list) fat chance
Get into bed by 11 - ok make it 1130
Oh and weekend lists, you're having a laugh. Full time working, a OH working shifts, only 2 kids but a 5 bedroomed 3 reception house means its impossible to keep up at the best of times. And as for DIY its like the Forth bridge, we've been in here for 7 years and haven't managed to decorate top to toe yet and already rooms need doing again. So anyone who can manage please tell me your secret.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
It was a lovely pic of Alice.. it was the beast we had issues with.. as for this pic.. I have the 'sensitive' one in the cupboard.. that one sets my eczema right off!!! lol... Besides I need the mousse one to squirt on hubby's genitals as he sleeps.. so all his fur falls off in the shower in the morning!!! :A
pmsl
oh is getting worried that you might be putting ideas into my head:rotfl: :rotfl:
michelle i have to say round here if it's a child involved our drs/hospital are brillient.even if there are no appointments available they will always fit you in no matter what.(adults are different story)
i like the idea of being part of a special bunch so can i join:pLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
Hugs to you and charlie Michelle - hope he feels better soon - it's so awful when they are poorly and you can't help them - I bet hospital was the last place you wanted to be too with the way you are feeling xx
Borderlakeland - your DD is lovely - and VERY brave!
Thanks to those who suggested a seasonal list - I LOVE getting ready for christmas - doing baskets/hampers this year and I am really excited - do need to try and leave the house more!!!0 -
Torianut thank you she can be lovely(even with lunch round her mouth) don't think its a case of being brave.she has grown up with me keeping rats so has never been scared of them.all 4 of them are quite happy handling them. none of my lot are worried about animals(dead or alive)oh was v dubious about rats when we 1st met but now loves them as much as i do. but oddly enough we are all scared of spiders and daddy long legs etc.Lead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0
