  • Right going to reply to the weekend tasks thing then do a new post with my list for tomorrow.

I think the weekends dont need extra tasks (like the weekday ones) but maybe there should be suggestions like:
    do a 27 boogie fling
emtpy those washing baskets (through the WM that, is no flinging them out the window to get rid of them!)
have a look round a room and see what needs to be done DIY wise, then write a list to either get the bits yourself or to book someone to do it (be that OH or a professional)
    empty the ironing basket
Sundays one - get those packed lunches and uniforms ready

Oh i just read shirleys idea and yes the weekend is normally outside for me, but im at work during the week so maybe the thing is to add a couple more to the extras during the week which could be taken to the weekend if needed  ...... but then if people dont get them finished during the week they may get dishartened....... oh dear i dont think there is an answer to this that will suit everyone..... brain still going and fingers typing it, sorry for the waffle here!

Loving the deep clean task - perhaps that could stay permanently
by the time we've gone round the house it will need doing again :D

I must say i love the way this evolves, first it started as moggins list (anyone know how she is and everything is?) then lil_me took us one stage further doing the levels to make it accessible for people joining, and the extra tasks from Michelle, now we are going deeper....
Heres for a great week. (now to go find the bottle of wine from the fridge and plan my weeks food around my fridge which contains the left over chicken, some potatoes and half a tub of yoghurt )

Sexymouse i normally get on great with her, i didn't even want help i just wanted to know if there was a key.

Have 2 items being watched on ebaysport-smiley-001.gif have so much more to stick on this week and next. Soon i'll have nothin to clean i'll have sold it all.laughing-smiley-014.gif

Kids finally in bed, will be going shortly myself.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • Thanks for the new thread Pigpen.
I probably wouldn't use a week end list as I'm usually playing catch up and I think as well with there being deep clean stuff on the list this week that'll do me. Sometimes just reading other folks' extras on their posts gives me ideas of stuff to do that I wouldn't have thought about about normally.

Going to need kicking all week please, am usually quite tired when I get home but sometimes it's just lazyness.
Still not starting 'til tomorrow though!

    Tracyg,yes I think that's what I'll be doing Tuesday.
    sexymouse, that's a nice feeling :D
Lil_me, fingers still crossed house-wise and exciting for New Car Day!

I normally veg out over the weekend and become a sterotypical student, with a nice mountain of pots to wash on the monday. Perhaps a few suggestions would be a nice addition as well as using it for the catch up.

Tra la la, tra la la (shell slips back in unnoticed:D ).

So we have rats with hair and a pigpen with none:eek: , loved the piggy pics by the way, they look so cute in a new baby wrinkled face kind of way.

I have been mainly grotty this last week so basics done. Nearly passed out walking home from collecting DD1 from school Friday PM. Could have been the not eating for a couple of days but still doing the 4 trips to school and back again. DH had to phone work for me as was just too grot to do anything.

Quick update. We now have a dog:j Dh and littles collected him on Saturday and he has been a complete star so far. We have an indoor cage for him (RSPCA suggested it), we got a size bigger than he needed so he can move around and he only sleeps in it at night.

Must dash gotta let him out. Will probably update tomorrow.
  • No weekends pleeeeeeeeeease I need to play catch up! Have already started on Mondays........ No time for lurking keep cleaning Karen "gets whip to herself"

*waits for Shells note about her absence!!* Nice to see you back my lovely.

Aimee.. that is exactly how I would work the weekend lists.. just a simple list of 10 tasks with new bits which we've not had over the last couple of weeks.

The weekly challenges came from discussion on the thread.. Hubby and I were discussing how the thread evolves a little each time someone else has a stint in charge. Michelle added the extra tasks list as well.. it is really nice how it changes according to the users needs.. one day we will have it perfect!!

Tell you what.. seeing as I have now written a weekend list we shall try it this coming weekend and see what we think.. I'll chop and change what is on it through the week so if anyone has something that MUST be on it give me a yell and I'll switch it in. Those who don't want to do it or can't or just like to veg over the weekend that's fine.. I'll probably be recovering from the night before too!!! lol

AND it is payday this week.. I've spent 2 weeks being penniless and this week we get wages, DLA, CTC, CA and £200 paypal withdrawals.. should cover ALL this months bills too. Oh.. and there should be our loan going in this week too.. so I can roll all those high interest debts into one payment, which probably won't be any smaller but will make my life easier.. I hope!

Evening all - just caught up with todays posts! I definately rejoined on a fun week!!

Weekend tasks - I don't mind either way - I work Saturday so wouldn't do that day but DD's at their dads on Sundays and OH usually takes DS out for at least a couple of hours for me to catch up with what I haven't done so could squeeze a few extras in!!

    Done today -
cheated like Tracy and Tinsel and have washed kitchen floor and skirting boards and table!!
Cleaned out another kitchen cupboard - will do the undersink one tomorrow, was leaving it til last but pigpen has spoken!!
30 mins (+) of ironing and clean washing sorting done
hoovered downstairs - this is a daily now for me!

Kids all bathed or showered and in bed!

Sorry rat lovers I am with pigpen on this one - the avatar was ok but that large piccie of little girl and rat made me shudder too!! But loved the piggie pics!!

Lilme - fingers crossed for you again

Shell - hope you are feeling ok

    hugs to everyone else xx
