I wanted to get rid of Billy not long before DH died as he is so big, thought about donating him to church! Nowhere else is big enough!!! A woman won him in the staff raffle at Asda about 3 yrs ago, DH was there getting some snap and said to her 'couldn't you buy a smaller one' to which she replied that she had won it and had no idea how to get him home! So DH said I'll give you £50 for him  so deal was done, him and his mate loaded Billy in the back of the jeep and brought him straight round here and sat him in the armchair. A few neighbours almost crashed their cars when they looked in the window and saw him!
Might see if we can rehome him again, if he goes to church then the kids will still get to see him.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

How about asking a local children's hospital? Then you can use the "he's helping make sick children feel better?" thing?Just a thought.
Having a break - next load of washing is more or less ready to go out on the line but there's blue sky and it's windy.
Still haven't done under the bed....or anything else in our room except empty the binCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Pouring down here too, just ran outside to get the washing in, brrrr!
embb they are nice, is an Aldi up here so will have a look, sometimes things sell out as soon as they get them in! Liking the table mats aswell (pn the Sunday list?), will help follow the red theme into the dining room.
I went upstairs in ruthless mode, filled a bin bag with old clothes which don't fit etc and soft toys for charity shopmore clutter gone means less stuff to move! My partner is a little shocked as he's not used to me being like this, I'm a natural horder. Cleaned out the cage aswell so that's ready to take back to the pet shop. Compiled shopping list which I hope to stick to.
Right, off to the shops. Just saved money as DP said 'I only have one bandage that fits so get me another' found another one so that's £7 less I need to spend. Hopefully get chance to pop back in later. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200

AnW'sMum - thanks - that is a good idea mine was along the same vein - cover it up!
I have just read the back of the packet and I am not sure it is going to work... needs to be applied in shade, then exposed to direct sunlight to cure... need to get on the phone to friend who is an RAC man - see if there is any other sort of compound (shame though - I thought it was a genius idea) or I need to find a portable sunbed :rotfl:
Ok off to clear [STRIKE]all the[/STRIKE] some of the junk off our bedroom floor so that I can try and get near the list :rolleyes:0 -

Kettles on..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Just waiting for downstairs floor to dry...of course I could just do stuff upstairs...but , you know how it is.
Anyway, I've got to remake our bed, dust the room and hoover the floor.
Then I'm going to make a start on underneath our bed. I keep thinking I'll do it next week, but thats just a stalling tactic, so I've talked myself into making a start. We've havw ikea plastic drawer/tub things under ours. So I'm going to pull them out and hoover underneath and then make a start on sorting out the contents.
One of them has loads of clothes my DH no longer fits into. I've no idea whether to get rid of them or bag them up to put in the loft....he's a real hoarder, so I have to be careful....what do you guys do with your other half's stuff???0
