OK, mailed some local councilors for my Mum and Dad. They have been waiting 3 months for a new coal bunker as the one they have is cracked, so the coal is wet and useless. Bloody ignorant council have left with no heating as they are not a priority!
Now, I need a pee, so off to the bedroom to paint then tidy the pit of despair! rawr!0 -

Had a bit of a sad cow session this morning. Was crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing, lights turn to red, beeping starts so we all start to cross. This woman on a bike decides that the lights do count for her so she has to weave in and out of us. I turn to one of the other mums who crossed the road and said "obviously the lights dont apply for bikes. You try to teach you children where and how to cross the road safely and then there are idiots who just dont care". This woman just stared at me, coughed and blanked me completely. I find it really hard to make the first move when it comes to conversation and this just really knocked my confidence and upset me. I know it sounds stupid but thats me!
Well I had planned to do an hours ironing but will have to make it half an hour now as it took so long to read all the posts - shame that:D .0 -
shell - just shows some people are ignorant! Get a few like that here. In fact just had similar response when I dropped off stuff at the charity shop, the manager is lovely but some other woman was in who said 'Hope it's not just junk!' could have slapped her, cheeky witch, like I pointed out there was brand new items in there, I could take them elsewhere if she prefered. An hour, ironing, that's like a swear word, I don't do that a month! One day I might be more organised...........

I got waylaid!! I decided to sand the remaining acrylic off my broken nail... not only it super-sore and painful it is naked too.. and I'm really struggling to type as it is the middle finger onthe left hand I use it ALL the time.
Cuppa sounds brill shell.. alas I have a wall to paint so I can put the unit back in the bathroom before the masses get back and destroy it all.. I decided just to repaint the bit behind the unit so we don't have to take it off again.. how lazy am I?? lol.. the ceiling needs doing as well so it isn't like we won't be getting the paint out again!
Back in about 20 minutes.. with a cuppa or 12 I hope!!!
I finished peeling the onions though!!!!! Just need to buy another bag full on the way home! and a payment to make at the bank.. and my paypal money was in the account already so I used it to pay off the water bill!!!!! woohoo.. no more water bill until April!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hiya everyone
DS slept through until 9am so i'm glad dd was staying at her grandmas so I didn't have to wake him up.
Dilemna time - but not a big one! We need to sand down our bannisters, door frames and skirting boards for all downstairs. Do I pack everything away including five bookshelves of books or do I just cover them and move the bookshelves when I need too? We need to have a big sort out of books as they're all over the place so I supposed I could do that before we start. Now i'm rambling. Ok, any ideas how to tackle it?
Speak soon and way to go solway!
xxJanuary budget
