Thanks in advance0 -
I've a Nokia N73 thats currently locked to Vodafone and (I'm told) the UK network but want to unlock it to use in Australia, is this possible?
Does anyone know how to do this, i've been told it needs connecting up to a 'box' to unlock it?
Many thanks in advance
I think it might work there anyway..
My mate when he went to Pakistan took his blocked/barred N73 with him, put in a local sim card and it worked with no unlocking/unbarring..
I'm sure someone here will know for sure though..I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -

I'm wondering if someone can help me. My partner used to work on a travelling fair. Now 9x out of 10 they used to close up on the last night pack up the rides and drive to the next town. Sometimes they would find mobile phones under the machines. So now I have a draw at home with a couple of dead mobile phones. If the original owner has reported these as stolen (for insurance purposes) can they be unblocked. I'm scared to take them to a shop in case I'm arrested for possessing a stolen phone. How can I tell if the phone has been reported as stolen and therefore blocked by the phone company.
Thank you0 -

Thank you
if you put a sim card in the phone, try calling out and it makes 3 bleeps it usually means its barred.
Inactive Sim on sony ericssons can also mean it may be barred.
sim card registration failed on nokias means its usually barred
IT IS ILLEGAL TO UNBAR/UNBLOCK A STOLEN PHONE in the uk0
