It is possible to change SIM cards and use the different cards which your handset - you MAY increase the were and tear of the SIM card by doing this.

To unlock a Vodafone handset you can request the unlocking code directly from Vodafone. To do this contact the customer services team on 08700 700191 (or 191 from a Vodafone handset) you will need:

• The make and model of your handset
• Your handset IMEI (*#06# call/send on your handset will display this)
• Your account details

no free codes, but a local shop/market stall with a nokia bb5 unlock box should be able to unlock these for you
