Another thing I found with the four wheeled was they are much easier to get up curbs when crossing the road. and getting on bus.You just tip them up on back wheels and push, the two wheeled ones you literally have to take the whole weight and hoist up. Murder on shoulder and arm joints. Also found the two wheel had a tendency to tip over to one side when going round corners, giving wrist and arm a nasty jolt.
Lol my friend has just pointed out that my trolley actually has 6 wheels, it has double wheels at the front, these swivel to allow easier turning.Slimming World at target0 -

They need to be what is most comfortable for you - and will fit your needs... not a fashion statement.
.... that having been said .... I personally think the 4-wheelers are a step too far in the direction of "old lady"
We bought mum a small four wheeler, with a little seat on top, that had a "cooler bag". Took her out for a trial run .... and it was all beyond her really, but not because of the trolley but because her dementia meant she'd be far too unsafe out crossing roads with it.

Not cheap at the price - and, in the event, something for the generation after mum as it's really for people with their marbles.0 -
Today I've been really lazy. I went out - picked up Ibuprofen (25p!) ... and a loaf of bread. So I've had two pieces of toast, twice.
Later I'll have the last portion of curry, but I think I'll serve that with rice/peas (again) because I've a slice of pie in the freezer (the final slice of the pie I bought 3 weeks ago) and Jersey royals would probably go well with that ... and some mixed veg or peas, tomorrow.
(shhhh, I also picked up a bag of my favourite choccies)0 -

Lol PN I don't worry if people comment on my Granny trolley, and yes its tartan I just smile wisely and say "you`ll learn" when your joints are so damaged you can hardly move them, and after all I am a Granny, up to date its my favourite role.Slimming World at target0 -

Ibuprofen sandwich for CBA dinner?
Shopping trolley, I use one now, bought it from Lidl, as you do. Old bloke trundling a two wheel trolley, but common sense must prevail. I use it for loads of stuff, not just heavy like tins, but bulky like loo rolls, and PN I can confirm the 20 litre bag of compost from £land fits in a treat
I aim for the drop down kerbs when going on pavements, but am able to pull it up behind me at present so not too critical if there is not a dropped kerb
The bag detaches but I leave it on, and have a bungee to strap extra bulky things on if needed, sort roof rack for a trolley equivalent. It fits in my car in place of a passenger because the boot is too small
The mindful eating slipped a bit last night, not one but two marmalade sandwiches gobbled down, the thick & chunky Oxford marmalade, went a treat with cup of coffee
Lidl this morning on way to volunteering, I wanted to get some more loose bakers in while on offer, plus some fresh toms. Nothing of note though so just those items
Popped into the Co-op during a lull in the volunteering, we are just opposite. Spot of luck there YS back bacon, 97p, BBE today, so two rashers made bacon / lettuce / tom sandwich lunch
I will use some more as extra topping for a basic YS pizza I bought yesterday, plus some onions / peppers and grated cheese. Will have some with salad leaves mix also YS yesterday, but for a bonus point I will add my own grown radishes to the mix. Sod's law, the radishes were sown as a marker for where I sowed the flowers, no flowers, but radish grew anyway
Back to backs, bit of pain after mowing the grass, one tablet taken and I think that will do the trickEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

That sounds a useful set up you've got there. I can still lift things so I don't think that kerbs would be a problem for me either.0 -

The same with PN and her choccies.0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Breakfast today was scrambled eggs on toast.
As I was going out and had some peppers going a bit soft in the bottom of the fridge I decided to put a chicken goulash in the slow cooker to have for dinner. I'll have that with some veg and new potatoes.
Lunch I used up the last of the pastrami that I got y/s yesterday (the other choux bun from the pack of two didn't make it from yesterday to today) so I didn't have anything else. I have got a piece of cheesecake out of the freezer for after dinner tonight though.
So far I have done well on staying out of food shops in order to make sure that nothing else ends up in the freezers. I will need to pop into one tomorrow though, so will have to walk very quickly past where they have the y/s fresh food.0 -
I decided to "dine early" today - so have just finished eating my last bit of curry/rice/peas. That chicken was gorgeous, melt in the mouth.... I really should buy more chicken and make more chicken curries.0
