caronc don't suppose you have a decent recipe for home made wedges?.... Never actually cooked them from scratch. (I have a load of spices and herbs)

My favourite is garlic, salt, black pepper and oregano. Crush a couple of garlic cloves (or a tsp of powder), add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 tsp oregano. Mix well with a couple of tablespoons of olive or sunflower oil. Cut your spuds in wedges long ways you want them chunky, coat in oil mix whack in hottish oven for 25-30 mins turning/shaking the tray 1/2 way. Another favourite is chilli /cheese - mix 1-2 tsps chilli flakes with oil and cook as before sprinkle with finely grated hard cheese once cooked(parmesan type is best but any is fine). :D
  • I think I'm going to have to do that! Thanks caronc

Potatoes are on, sausages in the remoska, tin of beans on the side, kettle filled. Not only have I stuck to my plan I seem to be in a rather efficient mood today. Normally get in just after six, flop look up and it's gone seven!

Don't do cous cous often but have always bunged a random amount in a bowl covered it with boiling water about a half inch higher and put a plate on top and left it. Growing up my mum did a lamb and sausage stew we had with cous cous but wasn't a common thing maybe once a year.

    Sorry ...........:o

    No probs :D

I now know what I'm having for dinner tomorrow night(as I have 3 eggs left) if I don't make it to the SM tomorrow :)
You can always boil them, cool them, then lob them into the fridge. They keep for AAAAAAGES in the fridge.

    Go on, make that omelette.

    Tomorrow I will :)

99 times out of a hundred unless it's baking:D. I don't bake that much mainly because a) I can't bung it in and b) I'm not very good at taking instructions and to me a recipe is just a list of being told what to do......:o

    Hello everyone....
I've fallen off the wagon a little - it's funny how one 'social' event can disrupt your eating pattern/intentions. Sunday's menu started off nice and healthy - porridge with blueberries and bananas in it. I had that quite early at 0730 as had to leave the house by 0900 for a dog walk, after the dog walk I popped into Tesco (as I needed petrol anyway and was there was one on the way home). Arrived home at 1430 having not had anything to eat since breakfast. I made the mistake of shopping while tired and hungry. Lunch or supper (whatever you would call it at 1500) consisted of 2 x maple and pecan danish pastries, 4 x mini pork pies and 4 x sausage rolls! Not very nutritional. Oh yes not to forget some wine to go with it. But I enjoyed it even if I knew it wasn't good for me! I really was aching and tired and just needed something straight away... Tonight will be the first night I've eaten properly rather than snacking on easy stuff - I'm going to have home made soup made with the end of the week vegetables leftover in the fridge.....the rest of the week's menu is vaguely planned...

Think we have all been there - don't beat yourself up was good you enjoyed it:)

Not the most nutrional sound day here either: toast, cottage cheese, cupasoup and hula hoops for brunch, Bangers, roasted onions, beans and oven chips for dinner :o
