Afternoon all - hugs to those who need them esp. TM and rchddap1 - sorry if I've missed anything major but I'm listening to footie at the same time - a multitasking marvel - that 's me :rotfl: oh and lil-me - sorry about your troubles - it sounds horrendous
Took dd to a party last night at the tennis club - don't know how because the ticket only cost £5 but the free bar didn't run out until about 10.30 and even then my round was a fiver for four of us - sadly we missed the last bus and had to get a 20 quid taxi - did win some glasses in the raffle though but left them at my mate's where we stayed last night. She is a lady I met in a refuge some 16 yrs ago - she was moving out as I was moving in and we have been through thick and thin together since then - well she is hoping to move out of london soon and i will miss her so much
Haven't been back for long but have cleaned the sitting room windows and sorted through my books and freecycled ..... one! These are mostly craft and grdening books and even though I will not have time to do even 1 project from each one if I live to 999 I do read them loads.
dd has just announced that she' s making xmas decorations from the contents of the recycling bin so must go and show her which craft materials she can and can't use
have a good eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Afternoon all :hello:
Trying to do some planning for my little cherubs for next week. We're looking at shape and it should actually be quite good fun............ fingers crossed! Hopefully they'll also learn something.
My "boys" won yesterday, which was also quite satisfying. They scored a try in the dying moments, which was right in front of us. Cue me jumping up and down like a mad woman possessed.I'm quite a passionate fan.
 DH always claims that he feels "sorry" for them having such a mad keen fan as me.
We always stand near the same group of people, who include the "gobby girls". Think I mentioned them last season. I was a little worried because although their group was there, the "gobby girls" weren't. However, I wasn't to be disappointed because the "gobbiest girl" turned up minutes before kick off. For once, she managed to watch the whole match (there was one match last season where we worked out she had her back to the game for 60 out of the 80 mins because she was too busy talking - hence our nickname for her!).
We popped in to see our nephew/god son on the way back as it was his 3rd birthday. He seemed to be delighted with the duplo. I was a bit gutted though cos DH's twin sister had got him the present that we were going to get him for Christmas! Back to the drawing board for ideas.......
DH and I popped into town earlier for our Sunday paper and popped into the coffee shop for a cappucino and tea cakes. Not very OS, but a nice little treat all the same.
Just had a phone call from one of my closest old school friends to say that she's pregnant! I'm so pleased for her as I know she and her husband have been trying.
DH is making banana muffins to a Nigella recipe, so fingers crossed it is a success.
Supper tonight is chilli con carne from the freezer. Mmmm. No doubt with a banana muffin for pudding!

not long got back form a long day at work! just had a quick blitz round the house as DH is still suffering with his back but it wasn't too bad at all actually!:j
I had a roast lunch at work but am cooking a small one for the others now.I think I'll have something on toast as I cant manage 2 roasts in one day! (well I could probably but wont because of the diet:D )
DS1 at work, DS2 out somewhere with his mates at the moment so its peaceful here as DH is 'pottering' up his shed - no lifting just tidying,
Not read the thread yet so (((hugs))) to all who need them, hope you're all ok!

I've been too busy to post today, but I can't let this slip by!! All I can say Aussie, is better to have a slightly less than sharp beak, rather than the stickiest one on the planet:p( You're just jealous 'cos she's named for me:rolleyes: )
Haribo, if you ever need a sympathetic ear about our antipodean friends (and others!!! I owe Pink an insult too:D ) you know where I am;)
dlb, so sorry for the upset for your Dad. Good that he got your pressie, and I'm sure he loves it, what a shame your mum is so horrible.
Not done very much today. Church, watched football, a bit of ironing, but I feel so tired I could have run a marathon.
Must go and make some dinner for the hungry masses.
(((((((hugs))))))) to all

Evening Everyone
I has been a busy posting period, I've just managed to quick read Saturday and Sundays. Hester - please include me in the Blogg link, since I read of your "other life" whenever I see adverts for that kind of thing I think of your there in pj's knitting, etc., Better keep your identify secret else it could put a dint in the earnings of these companies.
Visitors all gone, had a nice meal out with them plus other friends last night. WM/TD now working overtime so we are cleared up ready for if we go away next weekend for 6 weeks.
Went to hospital yesterday for ultrasound scan on my foot. Seems the tendon on the outer edge of my foot (underneath IUKWIM) is very swollen it should be a nice thin line the guy told me and it was certain not that! Have no ideal what the treatment will be if any - internet says everything from gentle rest/ice, to immobilisation (Oh! no) , steriod injections, and an operation (definitely Oh No!)  Go back to see the Podiatory clinic on Wednesday so will know better than (Maybe!). So not booking a ferry until I know.
Pen-Pen - Don't see a PM, but thanks for the "heads up", looked on TVGenius site and got the dates for the two I missed. Just got the clear space on my video HDD so can get these and those while I will be away.
Ellie - Sorry to hear about your back (see PM) and your hubby's job. How have you got on with the bread? Success all round so far. Dh has taken to it like a duck to water, the making and the eating.
Jackie0, Pen-Pin, and all others :grouphug:.
My friend from Hull came over, she has joined WW and managed to lose 8lb in 4 weeks, and you can see the difference, so Frogga, you had better enrol me, and PM me some rules. I will have a look at the special thread, but as it had 11 pages on the first day I balked at trying to check it all out.
Welcome newbies since I was last here.
Take care
