Panda Well don't cook what I made. It was revolting. :D Think green sludge mixed through pasta. DD took a couple of mouthfuls and decided to make herself some scrambled eggs. DH & I soldiered on a bit longer and then gave up. :p

  • Pink, Aussie and Pen Pen. Why am I suddenly the black sheep of old style?:o:D

Pink...you'd better save me some gin.

Good to see you TM and lil-me

I'm supposed to be painting but OH has taken kids swimming so I've popped on here. ;) I told the girls a while ago that I'm allergic to chlorine and they fell for it. :rotfl:

Have been shopping, done the washing and prepped roast pork for dinner.

Better go and splash some paint on me to make like I've been busy.:D

    Bye for now.

Ooh, I want it now -didn't realise there were recipes in this book -thought it was just about food.

I'm making roast pork sandwiches from Kitchen Diaries for supper tonight.

Sorry, the supplement has extracts from NS's new book and some recipes. They don't appear to be in the book, now I look more closely. Does that make any sense

  • Is anyone else a knitter here? I did see a little thread about knitting pop up earlier this month, but there don't seem to be any knitting challenges or posted pattern threads :(

I'm very new to knitting - took it up to pass the time whilst on bed rest, and to give baby 1982 some different clothes. I'm really enjoying it actually!! It fills the gap not being able to cook has left :)

  • Hi Nicola
I knit on a regular basis, mainly scarves. I've also been givev a lot of odd balls of wool, so I recently bought a book called 2 balls or less to see what else I can do with all the oddments.
Ok, the blogs up & running, the link is on my profile, but isn't for the faint hearted, lol.
    Hugs Hester

  • Hi Nicola

I am a knitter too but these days it is tailing off. Have over the last few years enjoyed knitting Jean Greenhowe toys for friends, family and raffle prizes. Have 3 on the go just now (for over 2 years) but lost motivation a bit.
