Thought I should show my face, I keep up sometimes but haven't had chance to post.

((hugs)) to everyone, inc TM my parents are in the same situation at the minute and I know it isn't nice, hope the light becomes closer soon.

We're still waiting to hear about moving, hopefully the estate agents will hear back from the landlady tomorrow, it's taking forever. If they do then we'll have 4 weeks to move

I've been on a major declutter mission, it's given me a great reason and opportunity to declutter everything, yesterday I got 9 boxes of paperwork down to 1 1/2, shredder packed in on me (DP said what do you expect with bin bags full) so had to do it by hand. Also having to downsize when it comes to kitchen stuff and food, it's the only down point about the house that the kitchen is smaller so I'm going from 13 cupboards and a pantry (which are bursting) to 7 ish cupboards! However the downsizing food stocks as you can see by my signature is doing wonders for my GC target!

Off to top up my coffee (working on getting through the 6 bags full I have left :o horder, moi, never!) and have another mooch through, see if I can get myself motivated.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Morning (just!) all!

Haven't been about for the past week as I was at the lakes with my friend and his family - so no OSing from me last week lol. Was nice to come home though - apparently they all missed me ;)

Well had a whale of a time yesterday doing the shopping with my mum - we were really good and went round farm shops etc etc and halved our shopping bill  ...got a wild rabbit for £3.50 (already skinned and stuff, thank goodness lol). Heard from my dad that my wally trolley has been ordered, so hopefully should arrive before my birthday!!!!

We've got the decorators coming in next week, so I'm going to be going mad int he kitchen today wizzing up a few cakes etc, before the hell begins. And we've ordered a new cooker :j - my cooker now is that bad that it takes 3 hours to bake a cake that should take 1/2 an hour (and we've tried everything lol)...can't wait lol. And my trip to Lakeland (well, you would, wouldn't you lol) was a success, finally have measuring cups and stuff, so going to start baking with a vengence :D .

Hope you all have a fantastic day! xxx

  • Panda Well don't cook what I made. It was revolting. :D Think green sludge mixed through pasta. DD took a couple of mouthfuls and decided to make herself some scrambled eggs. DH & I soldiered on a bit longer and then gave up. :p

Twink I suppose nows a good time to tell everyone of your double life seeing as Hester's going to reveal all. :D

TM Sorry to hear things still aren't great re: living conditions. Hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel is closer for you all.

Tired Mum Was it filled with anything? Can you see anymore? Roll on Tuesday for you.

Penny Love your chooks although Mouse looks like she's walking off the plank. Probably not the sharpest beak in the hen house with that name. :D

I'm off to shower and watch the telly. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Hi all
Thanks for everybody's kind comments yesterday, I will add my stories to my blog & I will add the link to my blog as soon as there is enough on there to read.
Hugs to Fizzel & Deidre & PP.
Hope JackieO is ok, not seen her on here for a while.
The lodger has wanted to go to church but I couldn't work out which sort she wanted, someone recommeded one to her so earlier today we set of to find it, the directions I had were 'it's the new church near Tesco' I knew where she meant, but when we got there it wasn't the one she wanted, I was turning the car round to see if we could find another church near Tesco, when the lodger decided to ask a passer by, who replied 'I'm going there. Walk with me' I'm hoping she makes friends there.
I've cleared out the freezer, vac'd upstairs & am going to start on the lavender bags in a while.
I'm doing chops for tea tonight as we have loads that need using up.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

  • Morning all - what productive Sundays you are all having. Yesterday I was in such pain from some slightly embarassing trapped wind, which I mistook for contractions and went into blind panic. I later decided it was SPD, until OH fed me gaviscon and it went. Driving him mad with my paranoia!!!

That evening my gal pals came over with presents for me and baby 1982. Baby 1982 now has a lovely set which includes a sleepsuit, vest, hat, bib and mittens. Very exciting!!!

This morning OH cleaned up pizza boxes etc whilst I went to Tesco with my parents to get shoes. Couldn't get a cardi though :( . There are some lovely 100% cashmere jumpers in there for £35 - I intend to buy one after the baby arrives, they are so soft and lovely.

Back to putting my feet up now - knitted another patch for the blanket, so will probably get cracking on some more later.
    £4000 challenge

    Currently leftover - £3872.15

  • Today's Observer has a supplement with extracts from Nigel Stater's new book, Eating for England. Really funny :rotfl: There's also a recipe for rice pudding with damson compote. Will be trying that later in the week.
Ooh, I want it now -didn't realise there were recipes in this book -thought it was just about food.

I'm making roast pork sandwiches from Kitchen Diaries for supper tonight.
