OS Daily Sunday 23rd September 2007

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Sunday 23/09. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all..................cannot sleep again, I am going to have to get some more of those pills, they worked well last time.....

  • Morning all.

I am cheating a bit because I am about to go to bed. I've just finished a 12 hour night shift. One more to do before we go on holiday on Wednesday. I don't mind the holiday: it's the preparation that gets me down. She has decided that her case isn't big enough (perhaps if she took less clothes?)
Sorry, I am getting tired and grumpy, not inspiring and motivating.
    Have a nice day.

    Good morning all.
Loraine, how old is she? She sounds to be very determined.
My DD would never have created and organisation pile, let alone work her way through it. She doesn't live at home any more, but she's come to stay overnight.
The son, has such a pile in the middle of his room, because that how he keeps things anyway... never sorts them.... he's living away too so neither are my problem any more.
Both my DD & Ds seem to get along fine with the people they live with, so something must be right.
Joined Factfinders last week, but my scanner won't play at all now. Must go shopping this p.m. Asda or Coop.
This morning, have to take a present for nephew 3, all I need to do is check the list of pressies I stored up in the January sales, wrap it at my "wrapping station", write a card from the card file, and go visit. (thank you all for website links re:- organisation, and tips. Last year wasn't anything like as easy)

Good morning everyone. Yet again, I didn't get much chance on here yesterday. DH is at a loose end until he goes back to work next week. Still, he did finish all my ironing yesterday so I shouldn't complain. AMIE - send your ironing down and I'll get him to do it for you! He's quite good at it now!

Plan today is to make some cakes - I haven't seen the grandchildren since before I went away; they're coming round this afternoon - after their dad has completed his running race - so I want some treats in stock for them. DGS has been voted onto his school council and DGD has started school (and loves it) so I'll have lots of news to catch up on with them.

We have beef for dinner today so I need to prep the veggies and decide on a pudding. I have yet another pile of paperwork to get through. It's never-ending, isn't it? I well remember years ago being informed by the powers-that-be that we were entering a 'paperless' era - well...when? It just gets worse and worse and sometimes I can lose an hour a day just opening the post and sorting out the junk that always comes with it.

Well, rant over - I'm off to catch up on the rest of yesterday's thread then have a shower. Will try very hard to get back on here today.

Have a great day everyone. (((Hugs))) to all who are worried or unwell.

    Morning.

Looks a bit wet out there. I have to get my son out of bed in a minute to go and make breakfasts at Mc Donalds. He will be grumpy and moody I bet. He is fed up with the job now, but does not want to give up the money.,....

Church today, and family roast pork for tea. I still have 2 more days off, so still something to look forward to.

Went to St Ives on the train yesterday. Still not a bad deal, only £11 on the train for 4 of us. Cheaper than driving and car parks. It was really sunny and I forgot my sun glasses, so had to buy some. Good old woolworths! £3 in the sale. Nice day out and quite warm for the end of Sept.

Well have a nice day everyone, cheers

    Good morning everyone,

:o Hangs head in shame. It was Haribo's fault completely. :p You know what these young un's are like. :D Didn't get to the markets today as planned. I have the start of an awful head cold. Sniff Sniff. I blame the weather. Hot one minute, then freezing & windy the next. I did an online shop this arv and will go in mid week to pick up the cold/fruit stuff.

I'm going to make swiss chard pesto tonight from the Veg Box site. Has anyone tried it? If not I will report back later and let you know. Off to do this spot of ironing and then watch the news. Hope you all have a lovely sunday & (((hugs))) to those that need it. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
