Morning all,
Hester, Sorry don't know the answer to your question about blogs.....but I'd sooooo love to hear all the stories you have to tell!
Penny-Pincher, I’m sorry to hear things aren't going well for you and yours at the moment.
Ellie and dlb, hugs for you both
tiredmum, I'm glad to read that you're feeling better and that you've got a doctors appointment.
Aussie, sorry my dsis made you miss the market.
It was a busy day here yesterday....As some of you already know, I don't do mornings, but I had to leave for work before 8.00am _pale_ however, it was a lightish day as I had no evening calls so was finished by 2.00pm. It was lovely and sunny here so in the afternoon we decided to take the little one for a walk in the local countryside to see if there were any blackberries left. It was in his words an 'adventure'! First off I was thrilled (yes, sad I know) because I found some sloes! :j I've been searching for sloes for two years now and was beginning to think St Patrick had banished them from Ireland along with the snakes. I gathered a 1lb and came home to check that that's what they were....going to go back for some more today. Sloe gin here I come! :j
But the best bit (according to ds) was we discovered a 'forest fire', well, a bit of a smolder really....but ds was really frightened and convinced we were all going to be burnt to death. Even though it was a smallish fire we called the fire brigade in case it spread and when they arrived they were really lovely and allowed ds to hold the hose. So ds has now convinced himself that he has saved our whole town from being razed to the ground!
When we got home we had what I think may be the last barbeque of the season…I’ll miss it as I really enjoy barbeques.
Anyway, more of the same for me today, with the exception that I've persuaded Mr Pink to take us all out for a late Sunday lunch when I get home from work. :j Then we're going to see some good friends who we haven't managed to see for a few weeks...it will be good to catch up with them.
That means no cooking for me today so perhaps I'll do some baking instead! It always amazes me how autumn sends me scurrying back to the kitchen after a [strike] lazy period [/strike] break in the summer.
Take care all and have a good Sunday.

Hubby has just humped the boxes off of the landing and spare room -up into the loft, so tommorow i need to finish the spare room off....im gonna ignore it...honest:D
So if i see anything else to do...im gonna try and ignore that too....hubby will get brekkie when he gets there, and dinner when he is done.. so im affraid if he is still hungry when he gets in - its something out of the freezer... its only just gone in there sooo it will do;) ...oh bum.... just seen someone mention Beef... have a joint in the fridge... better stick it in the oven(it came out of the freezer yestersday).... we can always use it tomorrow:p

Morning All
Didnt get time to post yesterday hope you are all well.
Had a fantastic day at Freeport Friday, it was very quiet and got some lovely bargains, got about 7 xmas presents and treated myself too. Tired-mum didnt get a chance to go into the shop you mentioned but think will be going back soon. It takes about half hour from here although its not a nice drive admittedly.
Yesterday didnt actually do too much, ds had footie training and a party, dd went shopping and decided to stay around a friends house.
Today have ds's match - its away but in a village 5 mins away which makes a nice change. Home then will cook organic roast lamb, followed by the important match - Chelsea v Man utd! (will really miss Jose) then if the weather stays nice we will take dog for a long walk along the beach.
Some washing and ironing to do and thats it, ooh must also remember that Miss Marple is on tonight.
Well thats it for now, need to jump in the bath. Have a lovely Sunday.x0 -
Hi, I can't believe it ... just wrote my message and it dissapeared, so here goes again.... It's raining here today, so glad I did all my washing yesterday.
I had a great day yesterday DS2 phoned to say him and fiancee would be through for dinner. Went shopping and bought PJs and dressing gown from TKMAXX to start hamper for DD. Re-organised dinner and it was really nice - DS2's fiancee graduated recently and is now in a job she loves but with horrendous shifts, so I don't see her as often now.
I didn't get as much knitting done as I had planned but will sew up my cardi today (a job I hate) and then I should finish the bands during the week.
I have a shank of mutton boiling away as I write. I am making my mum's tattie (potato) soup recipe today, I don't make it often as it takes more than 3 hours to cook but it is well worth it. It took me about 20 years to make it exactly the same as mum. it's delicious.
Today I will do some baking and have taken chicken pie from the freezer. I always make double or quadruple quantities when cooking, saves so much time and money.
Hope you all have a good day, also hope this does not dissapear again when I try to send it - so, fingers crossedDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Morning everyone
We're just about to have our Sunday treat of croissants with bacon, yummy, and then we're off to a few shops looking for any sofas in sales as our previous one broke and had to go back and as it was a clearance sofa they couldn't replace it.
So for lunch, it'll probably be soup and sandwich whilst we're out and for dinner tonight we're having haddock and broccoli stew using some reduced haddock I picked up last week and stuck in the freezer.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday

Hello everyone ((((hugs))))) to all
Ihaven't been on for a few days, what with my new job, my old job and being in a car crash 1 I'm OK, just a few bruises and a bit of shock but my car is completely mashed up. An old lady came straight out of a side road, there were broken white lines and a give way sign, but she didn't see them- I couldn't do a thing- Iwent into her side at 30 mph. She was in a Mercedes so her strong car protected her, but I had an L reg Corsa and so my car came off much worse. Waiting for the insurance now.
Anyway, on a brighter note, its Harvest at church today and a woman who has been working in Moldova is coming to speak- My DDis hoping to go out there for the summer next year to help run a kids club for local children. DD is already helping at our Infants kids clubat church and is a natural. I'm soooo proud of her-she is only 13 and quite small, but very plucky. We can only let her go next year because we know and trust this lady and an older friend is going too, but whenI think of what I was like at 13/14 I really marvel at DD.I'm on sunday school as well today- we are doing "give us this day our daily bread" and i've made 2 shaped posters- 1bread and 1 cake and we are doing cutting and sticking about what we really need and what are treats.
Then its home to a treat of roast beef and all the trimmings. thinking about it , the car is not so important I am really blessed.earn what you can, save what you can, give what you can :hello:0 -

Morning everyone
Long time no see. Hello to all OSers old and new :hello:
Things are still much the same at chez TMWe are still in the same house - unfortunately, with things progressing VERY slowly. (We're at the "talk to my solicitor" stage) At this rate we will be forced to spend Christmas day together too  Ah well, there is light at the end of the tunnel.....
Anyway, I'm still OS, but I suppose that's because it's how I am really. Still a busy bee, looking after everyone else too. I haven't really kept up to date with what you lot are doing so hugs, congrats and commiserations as needed.
The boys are about to go to mass in a bit. I've been awake for hours but after getting the boys' breakfasts, I retired to my bed (the spare room!!) with tea and a good book. I'll have a nice bath while they are out. I think "himself" is out later so at least I can get on with some jobs like the ironing without him interfering. Dependant on the weather I may take the boys out for a long walk on Pendle Hill too - blow those cobwebs away
Dunno what's for tea - whatever I fancy (he eats what is made and to hell with him!!) I have some salmon fillets I may do something with. I'll explore the recipe thread later.
Ok peeps - I may or may not be back in the near future - "he" reads these posts sometimes, so if you are ....... nah, let's keep it clean :rotfl:
Keep well and hope you all have a good day. I suppose I'd better read today's thread cos I 've just thought - i don't know what you've all said
Love
TM xxx0
