I was tempted to visit m&s yesterday but resisted. Can't promise that I'll stay out of the shop today though!
£21.99 spent on 6 weeks worth of protein bars and a drink for DH and £22.90 spent on beer, GF bread, almond milk, frozen raspberries and 2 vienettas. We had DPIL over for a Chinese tonight (different budget) so extra beers and deserts were bought for that.
Total now: £171.92/£320
I also need to put in an order for protein shakes as I am running out which will be another £50 but last for several weeks.

Which shakes/bars do you use? I'm always looking for recommendations. They can get mighty samey after a time:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
This week got off to a terrible start when I stupidly ordered a takeaway on Monday. £12 down the drain! I've sworn that this is the last I'll have for a long while since I desperately want to lose weight before I go on holiday.
Apart from my takeaway catastrophe, I've actually been very good this week with no other spends at all.
I'll be doing my big weekly shop today, which won't actually be too big at all! I need a few staples, but I'm still using up the contents of the freezer (which I want to clear out by end of March). I'm running down freezer stocks gradually, but there are still a week or two of meals in there and I will freeze a few portions of veg broth today too. I have most of the ingredients in for this soup, just need to buy a leek!2025 goals
GC: April £100
Savings: save £6K (or move house)
Health: Lose 3 stone
Mind: read at least 24 books0 -
Weekly shop delivery came yesterday and it was £60.58. Also spent some change at the market for bread and croissants. I have a feeling my £120 budget might be too tight, but we'll see.
On the plus side, I made beef stew yesterday and two leftover portions went in the freezer. Today I'm making soup which should give me four cheap lunches this week.
Have a nice Sunday everyone!0 -
Was just about to head to the shops today as I needed salad things and crisps to go with a cold pie for lunch, however DH pulled a face so I've decided to make a salad using fruit and no crisps, so it should be another NSD.0

I was tempted by some kippers for breakfast - so that's another £5.31 spent but that should be it until the next veg box arrives. I might even see if I can miss a box and make do with freezer stuff this week.
Next weeks meals are all planned. And I was feeling just a little smug when I heard that the price of veggies are going through the roof - as I still have plenty of squashes and onion and loads of beans, courgettes and spinach in the freezers. Although I am running low on potatoes - so will probably need to shop for them in a couple of weeks.
So overall, I'm doing fine and have spent £55.90 so far.0 -

I have been using USN diet protein powders as I already had them in but am going to order myprotein as this is the one recommended by Joe Wicks and it is his plan I am doing. They have 25% off on their website at the moment. I always have vanilla, strawberry and chocolate in, haven't tried any of the other flavours although I have heard the rhubarb and custard flavour is vile.
The bars I bought were Carb Killas which come in lots of different flavours and taste amazing. They are quite big and filling without being too stodgy. They are supposed to be nice warmed us in the microwave and eaten with 0% fat Greek yogurt but I haven't tried that yet. I got a mix of 12 for £19.99 at a local supplements shop (saved £4.00) and I think Tesco had them 4 for 3 recently.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
£3.50 spend yesterday on butter, apple juice and mini marshmallows (all the essentials!) but shouldn't need anything else this week now.

I'm a bit late to the party but want to join in
I have over 6 months up to December reduced our gc down from around £240 to 180 pm by going shopping 2 x pm instead of weekly. This year I am going extreme and have changed the way I'm shopping so I'm doing 1 monthly shop for storecupboard/unlikely to be reduced items then I'm doing ys shopping a couple of times a week. In Jan our gc spends was £142
Aiming for £130 for Feb :-) so far have spent £15 and have food in until next weekend (longer than that as have a lot in freezer) and need to pick up a sack of potatoes today. I wombled a price guarantee receipt that was worth £15 so that bits I needed for this coming week cost me £2.85 yesterday :TDF as at 30/12/16
Wombling 2025: £87.12
NSD March: YTD: 35
Grocery spend challenge March £253.38/£285 £20/£70 Eating out
GC annual £449.80/£4500
Eating out budget: £55/£420
Extra cash earned 2025: £1950
