£21.99 spent on 6 weeks worth of protein bars and a drink for DH and £22.90 spent on beer, GF bread, almond milk, frozen raspberries and 2 vienettas. We had DPIL over for a Chinese tonight (different budget) so extra beers and deserts were bought for that.
Total now: £171.92/£320
I also need to put in an order for protein shakes as I am running out which will be another £50 but last for several weeks.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

£72 this week rounded up. £1.20 for a lettuce in Lidl, no thanks. Got a bag for 50p. They had boxes of them, know the prices were going up due to Spain, but all other veg was the normal price broccoli etc.0

Good evening
Been really busy at work so finally totalled receipts for year to date as I am on an annual budget. Spent £341.86/ £3250, so about £30 more than I have budgeted for if I use the daily amount of £8.90, however I have 1 weeks worth of food in so I should be OK by mid week against my budget. :j
This also includes meal out today with my eldest son - I cashed in my Tesco points and got £30 of vouchers, so 2 course meal, drink and tip cost only £5.Blitz that mortgage
Jun 2016 £152,000
April 2021 £85,0000 -
Well I have been pretty bad eating out for 2 days in a row and not even thinking of the drinking, but it doesn't come out my shopping budget thank goodness.
Today my plan is to do a big shop to top up my cupboards as they are absolutely bare, so it will be a rather large spend but should mean no shopping next week ( unless I forget something) so will update after I've done it. Best go write my list Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
I love the lidl bacon chunks cooked with carrots, parsnips, onions, lentils and a little thyme at the end.
Could you or one of the other bacon chunk aficionados post a picture to show me what it looks like please? I'll try to spot it on my next trip to Lidl.
While I'm here, I spent €3.28 on Saturday for a pack of soup vegetables and two 250g packs of salted peanuts. The peanuts function as an easy protein snack and I put them on my yoghurt for breakfast. I made a black bean and ham soup for me and celeriac and potato soup for OH. I also pulled out frozen turkey from Xmas 2015 (YIKES.) to make stock. To be honest it smells rancid and I'm not sure if I'll keep it. We'll see in the morning. All that cooking used up a lot of freezer stuff I'll post on the other thread.
When cooking today I also realized we don't really have that many vegetables left in the fridge. Two aubergines, 1.5 zucchini, a green bell pepper, a head of cabbage and the soup veg. I think I might either head to Picard for frozen veg or the market in my square for fresh stuff. I was really trying not to spend anymore money this weekend though. Hrmph. I'll see if we can stretch to a Tuesday night shop though.0 -
