Exactly the same here, have switched to Avro energy.
IRESA was cheaper, but negative reviews aren't worth the hassle for the £1 a month gain.
Got welcome pack from Avro within a day of applying so all good so far
Also the no exit fees are always handy if a better deal does appear :money:0 -
Iresa was cheaper by £4 per month so I've gone with them. If MSE come up with something in the meantime, I'll cancel Iresa.0

We are now into our 14 day cooling off period with Iresa.
Thats the easy bit!
Hopefully we will switch without any problems.
If it dosent work out then with no exit fees to pay, hopefully there will be other deals still available.I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left!0 -
I went with Iresa.
Thanks Rubidium and Hengus, they are cheapest for me and I don't care about bad reviews as I can't say I've ever had a good experience with any energy company!0 -

As far as I can tell the cheapest no exit fee tariff being offered by Avro has been reduced from 2.93 p gas to 2.840

Why has this thread been moved to "LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels"?
Or am I going mad?0 -
Does anyone know if the collective switch for Wales and Scotland is still going ahead and if so, when?0

from the mse newsletter on 8/2/17:
If in Wales, Scot or parts of NW Eng, we hope to have a mega-cheap collective deal, launching next week. It's where a trusted intermediary (eg, us) uses its power to get suppliers to bid to offer a cheap deal. Anyone who gets this email, or is registered for Cheap Energy Club, will be eligible if it happe ns. When we say NW Eng it's because it's likely to include the 'Manweb' region - mainly N Wales but also parts of Cheshire, Merseyside & N Shropshire - its meters start '13'.
I'm just waiting to see what happens next week before making a decision on where to go next.0
