Goodbye BG Collective Fix Feb 2017

£103 higher than the cheapest non collective for me on a 1 year fix. Not expecting anything special from the collectives today as the big 6 are so much higher in cost than the smaller providers currently.0
-
Higher than Scottish Power, Sainsburys, Eon and Npower for me.0

If you live on the border of one of the four regions where our collective energy switch tariff will be available (North Scotland, South Scotland, South Wales and Merseyside & North Wales), or if you're just not sure if you can get it, you can check your meter or bill for your meter point administration number (MPAN). If this starts with a 13, 17, 18 or 21, you'll be eligible to get our collective tariffs.0 -
looks like it may already be showing-EDF fix until 28/2/18 £70 exit fee. If this is the one then still £70 dearer than cheapest non collective for me.0

That is the one launched by another collective this morning.
The MSE CHEAP ENERGY CLUB one should only come up for those in the North Scotland, South Scotland, South Wales and Merseyside & North Wales areas.
ie those who got the specific e-mail yesterday.
Basically offer excluding all of England except Merseyside0 -
I live in the old MANWEB area but didnt receive the e mail yesterday but am registered through Cheap Energy Club?0

Hi Phil
This email only went to people who were on last year's collective deal. We've got further messages planned today for people who are currently on other tariffs in that region.
But you don't need to wait - we've just added the tariff onto the website.0 -
HI all
Just to confirm the Scottish/Welsh/Merseyside/Cheshire collective tariff is now live. It is EDF and fixed until 28 February 2017.
It is priced differently from the collective which some of you have mentioned with EnergyHelpline. From what I could see, based on average prices the MSE tariff is around £15 cheaper, plus of course it comes with £15 per fuel cashback. That said, the EHL tariff does fix for an extra month.
For the regions it is available in, the MSE tariff is on average usage the cheapest fix after cashback (except for Iresa, which we felt was a bit of an outlier). There are a couple of variable tariffs which may beat it, though given recent price hikes we were focussed on getting a fixed deal.
Of course, where it appears in your results will differ based on usage. For the full tariff review, do take a look at the top picks tab.
I hope this helps those of you who can get it.0
