Raining in South Wales, hope it doesn't turn to anything else.....

The "Wales Online" newspaper website has an article in there re possibilities of snow in different parts of Wales. Headline of weather in Wales to be "bitterly" (now I've heard of bitterly cold weather and bitter weather). Bitterly is a new one on me.....

You might like to check it out.

Wet snow at home, no rain now at work, powercut at home but Himself has a windup radio I didn't know about and as it is so overcast has a branch of five candles to read by! Has sensibly made himself a nest & will emerge when the lads finish school as that's when power's due back on.

Me, I'll work as usual, come home via the pharmacy & have a perfectly ordinary day in comparison!

Still raining in this corner of South Wales too, not very cold and the sky is white clouds. Doubt that the forecast "possibility" of snow will occur, the BBC mapping implies it will go over the top of us and settle much further inland.

Yesterday it all came to nothing, turned back into rain

Started to snow at midnight but must have been a rogue shower as all clear this morning

Been coming down thick and fast the past hour now , couple of cm's already.

I must be getting old because once the prospect of snow would fill me with glee, but now I'm praying it doesn't happen.
Snow now just means sweeping down the drive and pavement, and as I'm on a busy road it will all turn to filthy black slush :( bah humbug!

We woke up to a couple of inches only, but it's dry snow and lying, turning icy now and minus 2. Sky looking very grey so maybe more, but not going to amount to much I don't think. One of these days the press is going to be trumpeting ARCTIC BLAST! SNOWMAGEDDON! and we'll all roll our eyes and ignore them - and that time they'll be right lol

West coast Scotland here and it's heavy. Woke to a white winter wonderland, it's still coming down. I'm glad I took the day off work as I hate driving in snow, even with a 4x4 lol.

We are well stocked as usual and I'm within walking distance to supplies. Its forecast to not last so fingers crossed a big freeze doesn't turn up next.

It is beautiful though, everything looks so clean and it's fairly quiet. I will pop out later well wrapped up to enjoy a walk in it.

West coast of Scotland here too but nothing, not a flake! There was a sharp short hail fall at 11.40a.m. and nothing since. It is cold though. The forecast was for heavy snow here, further inland it's reported to be falling there. Friends in Dalmally are under snow. Shores of Loch Awe had some this morning. I'm right on the coast (can see the sea from the house and it's very close by) so it may come yet.

Still raining here and nearly dark, a good 45 minutes before time. I'll be amazed if any snow sticks.

Rain got 'spiteful' around 2pm, otherwise nothing.

Good job I wasn't poised in the doorway at 3pm (BBC prediction) wearing my mittens and bobble hat, clutching my sledge all ready for a jolly afternoon tobogganing down the hill......
