Snow on the way are you ready for it

If you are feeling snug in your home tonight just think about this. The largest proportion of the gas being burned in your home tonight has come via a 725 miles subsea pipeline all the way from Norway.
What an incredible feat of engineering.

Electric? Well everything is going full steam ahead

We often take such things for granted .Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Snowing in north London....settled on cars and roofs but the pavement is too wet. It's going to be super slippery if it freezes tonight.0

No snow here in Portrush, but we're a seaside town so we never get much.0

Hi Ya chums
well I made it there and back ,bit hairy at times, and saw a few daft accidents with folk driving too fast.
Horrible going there, as it was lashing with rain and lots of surface water on the roads and the lorry drivers all trying to get home before it started
Just got into Gatwick as it started to snow.Bens plane was delayed by around an hour and a half ,there was apparently 5 inches in Berlin and the passengers all boarded to take off on time ,then the pilot decided to wait awhile so they sat on the tarmac in the plane
meanwhile good old Gran was sitting in Costa Coffee reading her book and watching it come down in buckets.:):):)
Finally got back on the road at 8.45 and our 48 mile journey took just under 2 hours .It seemed worse the closer we got to Kent and the M2 was quite bad.
Once off the motorway the side roads are like glass and there will be a lot of black ice around in the morning I think.Glad to be home safe and sound though, and treated myself to a large medicinal G&T for recovery purposes of course:)
Slid down my road, and was lucky enough to have enough traction to reverse onto my drive and that's where my car will stay I think until the white stuff goes
Nice on a Christmas card but horrible to drive in.
Thanks for all your good wishes But I am a detrmined old woman and a bit of snow wasn't going to stop me picking up my lovely DGS Ben He goes back to Uni on Sunday and I will miss him dreadfully
right time for bed I think
Good night God Bless all here and keep as warm and cosy as you can

Hi everyone
Just looked out my front window and there's plenty of snow here and its still coming down, it wasn't too bad a couple of hours ago and you could see the moon!! At least I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow and the car is parked outside the front, I live at the top of a hill and when the weather is like this you have to leave your car in the village and walk up here!! Plenty of food etc in, candles out on the side and plenty of throws on the settees.
