    Good morning xx
Thankfully, we use cotton hankies here; but I have found a £5 note in Mr LW's jeans pocket before now - fortunately, I always check his pockets before I put his jeans and trousers in the WM. And yes, I did keep the fiver! ;)

I've lost yet another day to this damned lupus - it's been so much worse since that abortive attempt by the GP to put me on Gabapentin. :(
I'd cry if I had the energy to do so. :(

I need all the spoons I have at the moment. Sorry.

Sending you lots of spoons; let's face it MIL has millions as today we boxed up and moved as many kitchen items as she can do without this week. She was impressed with our effort cleaning the new flat, and seems ok about it, especially when a few birds were around on the area outside her lounge. We have a spare bird feeding 'station' on a spike which can go out there so she can keep watching them.

Talking of which, 5 fairies on my feeder today so I've filled it all up again.
Just made a coffee & walnut cake as the rest of the day is writing reports interspersed by friends coming round. They are desperate to help us move MIL, but unfortunately because of her memory issues it would just be too confusing with 4 people helpfully asking "where does this go?" as the decisions just aren't easy for her. Still, we have sorted out which are going to be food cupboards, put pans and crockery in their new space and put down her nice new bathroom mats and soap dishes. Little by little. We did have one hiccup when she started unloading a case of clothes she said she'd sorted to put in hall cupboard - coats etc - only to get part way through and say "I don't know why these are here, I was going to throw them away" but put them in the cupboard anyway. Sigh.

Lamewolf hope you get some respite soon. Mr N is struggling a bit with his RA, it has been in his foot lately (can flare up anywhere) which isn't exactly conducive to sprinting round carrying boxes. He had a letter yesterday saying his RA review has been postponed from March to August!

Narc0 Mr N has my total sympathy re his foot. That's the reason I always go barefoot at home; wearing anything on my feet, even slippers, is just too painful.
I don't get reviews with a consultant any more; she just dumped me back onto the GP about 5 years ago it must be now, and I have to make do with that. When I was first diagnosed with lupus (2003) I was told I'd get 6-monthly reviews, and I understood this would be on a permanent basis. I guess the parlous state of the NHS is to blame.

LW and FBO; sending you both gentle hugs.

Bossy DS sounds so sweet getting you some flowers!

Narco must be hard for you and Mr N seeing MIL like this. One of J's uncles keeps sending random cheques out; he's been diagnosed with dementia; his wife has Alzheimers and although she's still alive they haven't lived in the same house for about 6 years now and she doesn't recognise him any more. Very sad.

Mrs-MP what picture is your cross stitch. I'd love to try but my RSI just wouldn't let me.

Fayolle hope DD enjoyed her riding lesson. Good luck at the Swedish store!

As for me I kept moving. Sorted lunch then vacuumed right through apart from Z's bedroom, washing sorted and next load ready for tomorrow and then done 1 of the 2 paid jobs. Then done my internet research job whilst kids watched Big Hero 6; love it that I can earn money whilst basically watching TV with them!! Next job will be tea. Tonight want to catch up on Sherlock with J and cut out pattern for a shirt I'm intending to make. No more typing today but have some to do tomorrow.

    Evening all.

No major emergencies here from the weather, no flooding and snow was gone in a matter of hours. Think the coastal areas got off lightly too.

Well the week has flown and I haven't!

I am finding that being out from 8-6 then coming in to do dinner and walk doogie I'm not fit for anything after that. This week I have also have evenings of 1 college session, 1 celebrating DH birthday and 1 study session with college friend. I did however do flying of sorts at work on Thursday as I cleared out my desk drawers as I couldn't close them for case files so they are now scanned in to the cyber filing system and the paper versions blue binned. Was quite refreshing.

Today I was up and out early for a haircut, unfortunately he moved so it's a car journey but diverted back via mum and dads to see how they were. Also had discussions with dad about hols as he has invited the whole family to Spain for his 80th birthday. Arrangements are complicated and as they have no internet I will end up having to do the bookings, flights, car hire and parking for us and them while thankfully my brothers will make their own. Complications will be down to trying to fit everything around mum coming with us and DH travelling with my dad by train! Poor DS looks like he might miss out again as he has had his holiday turned down so now has to go to his inspector to see if he can get some of the time to at least be there for his grandads birthday.

Now off to make some soup for tea with some asparagus bits that I got cheap and then tomorrow I will fly!

Love hugs spoons etc to all (I have read Fred but no time to reply personally so apologies)

Hopefully will be able to confirm some flying tomorrow, until then Adios
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Not done much today, have my darling two and a half year old staying until the morning, she has just gone up so hopefully will sleep through but not holding my breath on that! She will be going home at ten leaving two and a half hours to fly and also want DH to walk the garden with me , I can't do it on my own due to my stupid knees and feet . I want to see what bulbs are poking their heads up. Daughter the youngest and DH are football fanatics and have claimed the TV for the entire afternoon again tomorrow. But hopefully I will have caught up and washed and cleared up so I can read and maybe do a bit of Easter decoupage I have planned.
    Big hugs xx

    Evening

    Work done
Mrs MP it is sort of ok, the Pier took a right hammering, (you tube Cromer tide surge 2017 should bring it up) most beach huts are match wood, Salthosue Nature reserve full of sea water, the single bank was breached, the road along there is still flooded and a load of debris, if you are on FB, look for local groups such as Norfolk Country photos / Cromer. The power of the sea is just so dangerous. (EDP24)

Nothing else what so ever done today, OH cooked spag bol for me and washed up!

  • Evening all,

I'm just having a catch up with everything, I haven't been on for a couple of days - I would like to say it's because I've been so busy flying, but quite frankly I don't know what I've been doing!
Not really flying judging by the house. I am managing to keep the two new bedrooms and bathroom clean and tidy though. That's because they are lovely, and I haven't filled them up with loads of carp from the old rooms. I've eight bags of stuff for the chazzer so far - fling!

I've done nothing today really, except drink coffee, taken girls riding, ate lunch, read book (lots, oops) made a lasagne and an ill advised attempt at baking a cake.

I'm afraid the only thing that's really stuck from reading the thread is the ant furniture, which cracked me up! Oh and Dizzy, glad your dog is OK x

    Well, tomorrow is another day!
  • Hi all

Managed some pottering today, did our bedroom which got missed in the week and I managed to get the sheets out into the sunshine for a bit.

Kaz Cromer is one of my favourite places in the whole world, sad to see the damage there. I remember when we visited months after the last storm damage and they were still repairing the railings on the sea front.

DS2 getting a taxi home from a party but has to be dropped off at the end of our country lane so I need to meet him there about half twelve. It will probably take me longer to de-ice the car than it will to get to where I am picking him up! Just hope he has been reasonably sensible and the bedside bucket is not needed. :(

Oh and I seem to be getting my sore throat back again - whats all that about?
