Morning all.
Dizzy, great news about the pooch.
Karcher, I feel your pain.
So this morning I have done the ironing (all 4 items), quickly run the hoover round downstairs and.....took the dogs for a very short walk in the snow.
Paid stuff now.
Have a great Friday 13th everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hmm. I might have a rethink about the extended warranty MrsMP, although they haven't offered to come and clean mine! I do accept that with prices being so competitive when you buy the things that the firms need to cover their costs one way or another.Better is good enough.0

Thanks for today's list Valli, We have snow. I am in for the day all on my own! Yes, happy to be cleaning when I am on my own, it means I can appreciate my hard work before it all begins again! It's my weekend to have my little grandchild so I want to keep Sunday afternoon clear so I can just recover!
Keep safe and warm everyone xx0 -
Morning,
First :coffee: of the morning here! Lordy it was chilly out on the school run. Lots of icy slush here although the main roads are not bad, pavements are
I need to pop out for milk and other essentials and am toying with the idea of a full-on shop or do a delivery for over the weekend.
Was going to visit travel agent for some ideas but think I'll give it a miss. DD passport still not here despite sending with DS's.
WM is on delicate with football kit and base layers, he will need them for a tournament on Sunday - 4 ten minute games over two and a half bliddy hours. Fortunately it's at an Astro centre so they have a little cafe. I may be able to get DD out of the rain that's forecast...
Want to visit the clothing bank too, and then sort the shoe rack, we have footwear all over at the mo.
Vacced my bedroom yesterday so it's reasonable - permission to deviate from the list, captain Valli?Bossymoo

Dizzy Pleased about the dog and hope progress will be made so he is bouncing round again.
Snowing now, still have a small amount left from last night and it felt cold when I went out earlier to put hot water on the frozen bird bath.
I'm about to check and email a report before going to the gym. I'm dropping Mr N off at his mum's new flat so he can do some flying round there - it's not filthy but needs a bit of a wipe over round the kitchen and bathroom. I'll pick up MIL's dry cleaning on my way back, then will join him for a bit of flying and letting the carpet man in, then I'd already arranged to have lunch with a friend............
Keep warm everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Permission granted
I might post 'WM but don't always do em!

Morning all. A light dusting of snow here overnight is already disappearing - the fields which were white when I got up are now green again, and the sky is turning blue with fluffy white clouds.
I have refilled the bird feeders (normally DH's job) and swept the utility floor, having dropped a tub of sunflower seeds all over it - but none have gone to waste and the birds are very appreciative, particularly of the suet snacks.
While I was outside I spotted some beautiful pink and white hellebore buds :j The big green Corsican hellebores are already in flower, and various bulbs are shooting up
Yesterday I dropped off 3 bags of [STRIKE]stuff[/STRIKE] valuables at the CS [fliiiiing!] so the utility is now tidy
Today I am going to
- deal with paperwork
- make some phonecalls
- update my diary and make a master list of hospital appointments. Another was added yesterday when I realised that DH has to return the 7-day ECG monitor to the hospital next Thursday
- sort my study bookshelves: I need to arrange the books by subject so that I can find what I need quickly
- clean out both fridges while stocks are fairly low
Glad to hear that Mutley's OK, Dizzy.
Hope today is better, karcher.
Don't work too hard, Mumof2: remember to rest your eyes frequently.
DH is making :coffee:Anyone care to join us?

So far today we have been volunteering, taken soup round to grandma, nipped to Aldi and stuck a wash load on. Having lunch now and a much needed :coffee: to warm me up.
Once I have warmed up, I'm going to steam clean the hall floor xMFW

Dizzy I am so pleased that Mutley is ok; hope the test results are all you hope for when they come back, too.
Jazee good also that Littley is back on her feed.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »So so tired! Anyone else feel like this is a really long week?
I've told Mr LW we need to have some sort of a plan for each day, otherwise we spend the entire time Flying (me) or SOADFA (him - he will Fly if I give him a specific task, but he doesn't look around for what wants doing, or ask me what's today's Flylist or anything like that) and by Wednesday I've lost the will to live!I'm now spending most of my time bored out of my skull!
Need to nip into town for some F&V in a bit; thankfully the bit of nasty white stuff we had overnight is almost all melted.
I'm also thinking to sign up for an online course in canine first aid; it's offered via the dog-sitting company website, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and you get a certificate at the end of it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all, quick flying visit. Dizzy glad all is ok with Fur baby and you are enjoying him at home again xx
