No, just simple...imported_goldie wrote: »So any ideas what I should do? Amount is due 4th November, what if they wont confirm no further charges will be added? Did write today to Head Office but unfortunately didnt have time to send recorded delivery.
Send another letter tomorrow recorded if you can. You have your email proof anyway, but just to make sure. Once you can prove you have disputed the amount, any extra charges are illegal and you will be able to get these taken off. Have you been to http://www.geteven.biz to register your details and fill in the form? The more people that do this, the better chance and better case we have against these morons!

Yes - and unscrupulous and arrogant and unethical! :mad:I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -
I paid up about a month ago. Not happy about it but my credit rating is more important than £25. Notified them that I still consider the amount in dispute and have logged my details with geteven.com.
I have to say LW have created an enormous amount of negative publicity over this. I would have genuinely have used them again for some large purchases. Also Word of mouth is the most effective form of advertising. I've sure been making my feelings and opinions known to just about everyone I know.
I was stopped in the street the other day by a LW representative who wanted me to sign up for a catalogue and get a £15 voucher. I said no way and she was curious why. I told her about our experiences and she was genuinely shocked that we had been treated in this way.
She then paused and said, actually I'm not cause they are pretty awful employers too. She ended by saying that she had considered leaving a couple of times. After hearing our story she said she was really angry and didn't want to work for a company who treated its customers this way.
I also referred her to this site.

I emailed them to tell them i was disputing my account and in the circumstances can they confirm no further charges will be added. Got a reply saying "voucher wasnt sent to you blah blah". Sent another email asking again for confirmation no further charges would be added as the matter is in dispute. The reply i just got obviously came from India judging by the grammar "please confirm when you written letter to Head Office". Also said "we are under no circumstances refunding the £25". The annoying thing is it started off with "Thank you for shopping with Littlewoods" and finished with "We hope
to see you online again soon". Are they mental?
So any ideas what I should do? Amount is due 4th November, what if they wont confirm no further charges will be added? Did write today to Head Office but unfortunately didnt have time to send recorded delivery.
Just chillout..If you are sure that the email was from India..then..thats it..they will make sure that you pay £25 plus £12 admin fee. Pity..you did not have time to do recorded delivery....better luck next time....!!! Don't wait for any more ideas to come to you....:rotfl:0 -

Hi guys,
Although this hasnt happened to me I just wanted to say that I totally support your fighting this and will never use littlewoods again.
I wondered if anyone had thought about an email/letter to the agents of trinny and susannah? I wonder if they are happy to be advertising a company that seems to feed off exploiting the consumer?

Great thread.....fortunately for me I didnt use any of the codes.
Some good ideas here though......getting together like the guy from hotdeals suggested, posting large unstamped heavy envelopes to Littlewoods, sending loads of cheques for random small amounts of money, buying stuff using free delivery codes and then sending it back using pre-paid labels. No harm i getting even.....might at least make you feel better.
Also, referring every case to the Financial Ombudsman costs Littlewoods hundreds of pounds a time......once the first ten or twenty hit them, theyll settle the rest.illegitimi non carborundum0
